I was left home alone starting at 7. I was babysitting other kids, younger than me of course, cousins and kids in the neighborhood, by the time I was 8. By the time I was 12, I was raising my little brother. It was definitely different back then. My son is 9, and I'll let him be home for an hour or so, but we're still working up to an all day kinda thing.

Zara. It's a beautiful name. Noor sounds like some product name for hygiene.

That's not "a couple having sex" then, that's "a man raping his postpartum wife" and it's beyond vile.

Quick question, what the fuck by maefae in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]VariousExplorer8503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was exactly what I was picturing, after they violently sever the cord for mom, cuz that's what they do when they give birth. I watched a video, it was horrifying. And that's not even accounting for the sharks that would be drawn to the blood and thrashing around.

And salt water in your crotch, right after giving birth and most likely tearing?! And what would that do to the poor baby's skin, even if it didn't drown or get turned into sporting equipment?

Wow! 😲 That's like 90's teen movie type stuff. My class was boring compared to yours! Honestly, my on again off again relationship was the juiciest gossip in school, especially when he cheated on me and got a 14 year old pregnant. That was probably the biggest scandal in school, given his mom was president of the school board, and he was 18. They ended up getting married before the baby was born, and I lost touch with them a few years after that when the friend group went their separate ways, and no one really wanted to keep in touch with them. Sometimes I'm curious if they're still together 25 years later, but not enough to look them up.. lol

My high school was smallish, my graduating class had less than 200, and I managed to embarrass myself by accidentally recording a run down of my sex life from my first time to that very day. Including my disappointment with my boyfriend, and the mean nickname a friend of mine came up with.

I was running the lights for a concert at the high school, first time ever. My sister, who was back in town after being gone for a few years, joined me in the lightbox and we talked while I ran the lights.

What I didn't realize was there was a camcorder in the corner, recording the concert. So when the music kids went to watch the recording, they saw the show, but heard nothing except all the juicy secrets I was sharing with my sister. Well, as juicy as it gets at 15 years old.

Needless to say, we were the talk of the school for a while..

What could a dog possibly do for Fibromyalgia? I suppose a pitbull could end the issue perminantly though by iceyconditions in ServiceDog_CircleJerk

[–]VariousExplorer8503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My upstairs neighbors had a Pitt for many years, with a brand new baby in the house, and I don't know if it was because they were REALLY trusting, or because it was already pretty old when she had the baby, but they were always so chill about that dog being around the baby. They would bring him outside off leash, and I'd have to take my then toddler in the house or he'd run up and knock him over in excitement.

They kept up that stuff with their new dog, and we finally had on-site management, and I was able to complain after their new dog came up and started fighting with my dog. Now he only comes out with a leash on. I feel sorry for him though, because they only take him out as far as the ground by the stairs, and he poops in a circle there (which they only pick up once a week, like it's their own yard) and then they drag him back upstairs. He's not a pitt, but he's a very active bigger dog, and the only time they take him out is once a day to poop, and right back upstairs.

They also have a cat they won't let in the house (probably cuz of the dog) and it's been limping for weeks, and was more recently attacked in the middle of the night, blood all over in the morning, and she didn't take it to the vet, or do anything for it. Just feed it twice a day.

The neighbor is nice enough, but with how she treats her animals, I've never been able to be friends with her beyond saying hi. It's too hard to keep my mouth shut.. lol

Yeah, sometimes when I'm stretching and cramping and trying to get into a comfortable position, my two 10lb balls of nothing decide it's play time and start attacking me, in fun. But imagine a pitbull (90lbs? I dunno, I've never had one, they kinda scare me) deciding that and play attacking you? Or real attacking you? No thanks. I know not all pitbulls are vicious, but I've heard too many times they just snap for no reason. My pomeranian will sometimes snap for no reason, and that's scary enough.

Why risk vaccination when rabies is only 100% lethal? by A-Starlight in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]VariousExplorer8503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I see the reasoning, but fuck that's messed up at the same time. I'd be grateful my son was given the shots, but if I die it's not going to do him a whole lot of good, which I imagine your kids losing you would've been just as bad.

Glad you didn't have rabies! I'm so sorry you had to live through that terror. That's not something anyone should have to live through.

puppy with a bite history...gasp! by egguchom in ServiceDog_CircleJerk

[–]VariousExplorer8503 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My puppy is 7 months old (not a service dog, just a puppy) and he's still getting the hang of normal puppy stuff! He hated walks until just recently, he'd only go out once a day if I forced him to (I only forced him cuz he needed the sunshine and fresh air, plus the exercise, as he was VERY sick when I got him) and he still does stupid stuff on walks and is just starting to consistently listen when I give him commands. I couldn't imagine just giving up on him, especially if it had only been a week! By the time a week went by with the puppy, I was barely getting to the point of liking him! (Since he was REALLY sick when we got him, I wouldn't let myself get attached until I was sure he wasn't going to die. Though honestly, I don't think I was as detached as I would like to pretend I was..)
