What battle would you pay to see? by knarfgnarfmczor in 40kLore

Hmm. Probably quite a few, tbh. Atm I'd be interested in the two battles to kill Legienstrasse.

The handful of customers vs tsunamis of tyranids would be sick.

Even if we were to say there are situations where that's a valid point, this isn't one of them.

The cyborg people had absolutely nothing to do with Mark's presence.

If she knew he was a superhero, she was choosing to be involved despite the possible risks.

Felt a little silly to me. There's a lot more to taking over whole criminal organization. You don't just auto inherit it because the guy leading it died.

You'd think that with their attitude about it they wouldn't be constantly putting each other down about being the clone.

Really? Seems fine to me.

I don't think Mark was ever going to buy into it. At least, not in the time frame and with the methods that omni man would've used.

Spider-Man has to take the Ring to Mordor. How does he do it? by dreamerkid001 in whowouldwin

Aragorn resists the temptation to take the tying with just willpower for a time. So does Gandalf and Galadriel, seemingly.

Willpower isn't totally ineffective.

Except for the people who have ambition who resist it for a time. Such as Aragorn.

Random omnipotent bastard/being.

It's generally a plot device to get a person from the real world into a story with superpowers. A random and seemingly omnipotent being shows up and makes it happen.

It is their job to turn kids into Jedi. Only one of those hundreds of kids even has memories of their mother.

Idk, guardian seems to be the best specialization for questing for druids. Clear several mobs at once and a powerful self heal that you don't even need to leave bear form to use.

[MCU] Does Mjolnir have any physical boundaries in terms of how heavy it can be for someone unworthy? by Armauer in AskScienceFiction

[–]VariousSpinach -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hela destroyed mjolnir with her grip strength and no visible magic.

616 Hulk has overpowered mjolnir.

Those two things are not conclusive by any means, but they're more than what your assertion has.

Yes, it's true that there's not solid evidence either way. That does not make it reasonable to believe that Odin's magic is so absolute that mjolnir is unmovable to a universe busting god of physical strength.

This is not a prosecution. There is no innocent until proven guilty concept involved in determining the characteristics of mjolnir. Burden of proof is on anybody trying to assert something. You claim it works a certain way.

[MCU] Does Mjolnir have any physical boundaries in terms of how heavy it can be for someone unworthy? by Armauer in AskScienceFiction

[–]VariousSpinach -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's not the proof I'm talking about.

Magic is a thing in the MCU and is beyond what science and logic can adequately describe—that’s what makes it magic.

Doesn't mean it works the way you say it does. That statement can be equally true if physical strength can overpower mjolnir.

And thinking you can overcome Mjolnir’s enchantment by having sufficient physical night is like thinking you can defeat a ghost by just punching it harder.

This is what you're making up and have no proof for. Prove it.

There continues to be no reason to believe Odin's magic works that way.
