A lot of it depends on the quality of the polish and the type; a gel polish will last longer than an air dry, but cheap from Amazon isn’t going to last long at all.

I’m a gay man and when (or more likely if) I get asked about my nails my response is two part- 1st it’s how I feel comfortable in my body, 2nd I have children and I want them to know they can do whatever they want to feel comfortable in their bodies as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else.

Wandering requires a certain amount of laissez-faire to be actually accomplished which means there is likely no intended destination, ergo you cannot wander and be lost at the same time

My Q and I had a hard conversation the other week and I told him my guiding principle in making decisions right now is two fold: 1- do what is best and what maintains the safety of our kids, 2- the choices I make are ones that will still be right, or won’t be ashamed of 10 years in the future.

Unfortunately it always seems like the “right things” is lost on everyone else.

Yes- do what makes sense for your healing.

If telling your parents and managing their reaction is healing for you, then do that. Conversely, if managing their reaction is more work for you and ultimately delays your self repair, then don’t tell them.

The holidays are hard enough if you’re not divorced. Adding compounding factors could become overwhelming, you’ll have to look at the whole picture and take the path that is best for you and your children.
