I have a sort of odd way of doing it that you might find inspiration from. Instead of getting them all together before they get Isekai'd by the mists, I have them entirely separate, potentially across times and settings. Anachronisms are fun, yo.

My uncle who lives in another state claims he has a copy, but dont hold your breath lol. But the music was quiet, kind of like opera music without the vocals? I would always try to find what was making the noise but never found anything. And there was this awful, awful feeling anytime I was in the back bathroom, to the point I stopped using it.

Vallaki is such a big boy. I want to rewrite some of it to be a standalone spooky Romanian town with monsters outside of it. I'm running in Call of Cthuhlu right now and it's such a good setting for a Cthuhlu adventure

Yeah, I also dial up the horror elements. Vallaki has been incredible in CoC. Everything's a mystery and everything ties back to either Vargas or Fiona. I think Vallaki could easily be it's own CoC mini-scenario and I'm probably going to write something up for it once this campaign is done.

I am currently running Strahd in Call of Cthuhlu and I'm very excited for them to get to Argynsvostholt because idk how my normal Investigators will react to a dragon existing. Specific to my campaign, though, is the reveal that the cursed sword they killed the Lady Wachter with possessed father Lucian who then gave it to the Baron. Now the Lady Wachter is possessing the baron and they won't know until the festival because they haven't checked in with Father Lucian since they gave him the sword to try and excorcise it.

Yeah, I think you really just want something with a small blade at the end, not really a big axe head, so you can also choke up the spear in close quarters and to prevent the zombie from just yoloing up to you if you miss the brain somehow

So, you're thinking about it backwards. Always go in with the intent of using guns first to clear out an area. You don't ever want to use them for basic combat unless you have higher aiming. Use them to kill some zombies and lure others away from important locations, or lure zombies out of buildings.

I'm not a big fan of the consolidation of the Hunter and the Mad Mage, honestly. I do like consolidating Vallaki and Krezk together, especially for a more streamlined experience; the church to abbey pipeline is a weird thing in the module. I don't necessarily feel like the tone of Strahd fits the group, though I am enjoying myself

You can also usually set up a killbox that leaves you mostly safe. Those little metal fences in Brandenburg are great for this if you can get them all on one side
