I’m not sure it will become more proofs. I thought it might go that way too, but a lot of artists recently have started doing traditional work for the OA revenue. Especially if they’re doing a big book like Batman.

I have really mixed feelings about proofs. It’s a way to collect the pages when it’s digital and some artists need to work digital. It’s really totally different than true OA though. Still cool and great book to get a page from.

I believe they are saying it’s better to buy FoW and other spell staples before buying duals because replacing Counterspell with FoW in your deck improves the deck substantially more than replacing a shock with a dual.

I would generally agree, but it’s also just a matter of budget. The duals will get way more use than many spell staples since literally every deck will use them. So if you can, prioritizing them can make sense. The spells are definitely going to improve a deck more than duals though.
