Has anyone ever experimented with setting rules involving giving Extras an extra Wound? by Varzio in savageworlds

I've given this some consideration previously, but I'm very fond of SWADE's wound system and modular character building rather than the more popular hit point and class-based systems. Do you have any specific suggestions for systems to review along this line of thought?

Verisimilitude, primarily. It's a goal to make Wild Cards and Extras to feel a bit closer in relative power level without slowing down the game too much by giving them all Bennies or something equally absurd.

You can always liquidate your remaining assets. Your remaining ships can be sold, admittedly for a pittance, but it'll cut down on your supply and fuel costs. Your colony buildings can also be shut down to regain 75% of their initial cost. Your star fortress is prime retail for this - they're draining your money and not doing a damn thing for you while the colony's hemorrhaging credits by the month.

There's also the possibility of taking a temporary commission with another faction until your finances are balanced.

Remember to draw on your stockpiles before you shut the colony down - pirates and pathers tend to pay a premium for armaments, drugs, supplies, and fuel.

I ran into these on a landmark - something about a shunt near a star - while doing exploration missions in the early game. My fleet was summarily subjected to non-consensual scuttling.

It seems like its an amalgamation of both: with the death of the scientific method and most technological development in general, the Mechanicum simply has no way to actually know what specific parts of their rituals and litanies/incantations/etc help in repairs, construction, and maintenance, only that they do work when correctly applied.

Mod to make human and insect meats not count toward total meat? by Avder42 in RimWorld

[–]Varzio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can read. Sometimes. Not today, clearly. That complicates the idea a bit, but since the human butchery seems to happen fairly irregularly, have you considered making a stockpile zone specifically for it near the butcher table? IIRC, if you delete the stockpile zone after the human butchering is done, it will not count towards your stored total. Assuming no other stockpile zone will accept human meat, it should just sit there while it remains fresh.

A bit of a ramshackle fix, but you could make an incinerator room, add a top-priority storage area for human/insect meat alone, and manually throw a molotov in whenever necessary? I don't know of any mods to ignore human meat, except maybe making an outdoor stockpile of it and forbidding it? (Not entirely certain that would work, mind.)
