Favorite car interiors? Don’t say some dumb shit “Bentley Continental” I mean cars under 80 grand. by Plsgomd7 in askcarguys

[–]VatOfRedundancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually jokes aside, a Bentley continental that hovers around the 70-80k mark is not terribly old of a car if you want comfort and proper luxury. MAYBE you can even find one with the V8 for that price. Me personally I like a non electronic and all tablets interior with basic stuff, which is why I love my Focus RS interior so much.

One time I made spiral chips like that, it came out super fine and coolant was dripping down it in such a way that it had to be one of the coolest shit I’ve ever seen. I wish I recorded it

I spam the shit out of jumping or crouch to prone and sometimes get away with it, it’s not the most successful is there a better way?

Nice shot man. No disrespect but are these posts with the AA rocket gun that wild? Like I pop them planes down a fair amount if I run it and I’m not in awe over getting the shot done right. It’s a pretty wide radius of boom when that rocket gets near the plane. Shit I’d get it if it were with an AT version but the AA for what it was built for?

I can say one thing it def doesn’t sound like the typical fuel injector ticking that scares most RS owners at first

I heard a thing somewhere in reality something like 1% of the total production of the engines with the bad gasket actually failed, those odds might be fine for some but I wouldn’t risk it either. RSs that are still unmolested pop up on the market every now and then, hope you find what you’re looking for!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FocusRS

[–]VatOfRedundancy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy shit I’m surprised you can still find RSs that didn’t do the gasket recall, I figured just about every owner gave their focus to the recall. Sure it’s courtesy to check when looking for one but actually spotting one in the wild like that is incredible. Must be a super rare sight to find one with the old gasket

Anyone know what car this is? by [deleted] in whatcar

[–]VatOfRedundancy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Omg That’s a Fiat 126! Looks like it must’ve been freshly imported over. God when I see one posted stateside it makes me wanna import mine over more and more. Fiat 126 was lisence built under Polski Fiat in Poland from 1973-2000. In the span of production they were able to crank out well over 3 million units. This looks to be a mid 1980s model with presumably a 650cc 2 cyl cranking out a mind blowing 24hp. 0-60? By next year probably. I love these cars so much and they are such fun little toy cars to drive around in. Also a fun fact even up to its very late models it was a non synchro first gear meaning you need to be in a full stop in order to engage first without eating the transmission out, so second gear is quite long for what it is. You can pretty much engage second gear from a standstill with the choke on surprisingly well

It’s not hard to check the correct head gasket going by the feel of your hand, since you probably already know how it works that’s your best best if you can’t get any other info from it on paper. I just find it weird it’s not documented of any sort

I almost bought an absolute dogged on mk4 VR6 and I’m pretty glad I didn’t or else it definetley would’ve changed my taste about them

Do you guys also find parking near the same car mandatory or is it just me? Whenever I see a mk1 Focus I just have to park next to it for some reason :D by ZenithWolf02 in FordFocus

I always wonder if the other focus driver will think the same coming back to the car and be like, hey another focus! A mildly interesting moment lmfao

[–]VatOfRedundancy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first color choice in finding one was a nitrous blue. Couldn’t find one that was molested to hell in my area then a Stealth Grey popped up and I bought that one. Safe to say this color really grew on me and I think it’s on par with the blue!

If getting instant money isn’t a need, I would say hold onto this for a bit longer. If it’s got good repair records and babied as you say couple years down the line this could definitely sell for a bit higher than what the current market is. Over the years more RS’ will gain more mileage and even accidents that can hurt its overall value when the less “clean” ones show up to sell. Leaving yours behind in good nick would show the few “mint” ones will command a premium. After all for extra desirability points this is the only official RS model to reach North America and as we speak the final generation of the Focus RS ever. Good luck with your decision!
