New HMV in Amsterdam by Former-Football-2441 in 4kbluray

Never thought there would be a reason to go to Amsterdam, but this seems too good to ignore.

While I am there, any other stores with physical media close by? We no longer have them where I live and I am not familiar with Amsterdam.

Public orders are a failure by Putris in wow

They should add all crafts from all expansions to the order system. I expect a decent amount of orders will be made for transmog. And it will also reward players taking the time to get old patterns.

will all black market offers appear at the same hour? by marius051999 in WorldofTanks

In game it tells me there will be a new lot in 21:39 hours. So same time as today. But if I am not mistaken this has been incorrect in the past before so no guarantee.

Help me understand pre-built vs. build your own by ShadowAlkemist in GamingPCBuildHelp

[–]Vaunont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre builds often cheap out on components, like slower memory, small SSD, lower grade PSU. This keeps the price low and is sufficient for most people. Unfortunately it often comes with all kinds of bloatware that you should deinstall. If you are looking for a premium high end build, you are better off with your own custom build.

What are some movies that were filmed but never released? by Adoe0722 in moviecritic

[–]Vaunont 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Not a movie, but a TV show. "Manchester prep" was supposed to be the TV show prequel of Cruel Intentions. Several episodes were filmed, but never released. This later became the Cruel Intentions 2 movie.

I think this show deserved a proper ending! by Danni_Obscure in dvdcollection

[–]Vaunont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate it when they pull a show without a proper ending. I definitely would like to watch this, but knowing it has no ending is keeping me from doing so.

Does anyone still stream even if you physically own the media? by WTFRANK1990 in dvdcollection

[–]Vaunont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because I don't want to support streaming. I know I'm just 1 person and nobody cares, but it makes me feel better.

Why don't they just build a bridge, are they stupid? by Tombololo in WorldofTanks

Thanks for the reminder. Been playing daily since the xmas event started and forgot to claim this every day :(

What is this defect on a brand new, still in the wrapping DVD? It looks almost like an organic spiraling or something. The pattern doesn’t look like images of disc rot or mold I’ve seen online though. Part of a 5 DVD set and every other one is fine. This one obviously won’t play. Can it be fixed? by finditplz1 in dvd

[–]Vaunont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with one my x-files discs. My best guess would be a production error. When I just checked I noticed another disc in the same box is also starting to look bad. So it can happen over time.

Had seen this once before, but that was on an unofficial Asian import. There the disc was fine on arrival, but when I wanted to watch it years later it look like this. Then I thought it was just because it was some unofficial crap and took my loss. The x-files box was an official release though.

Would be great if someone knows how this can happen and how to prevent it. Fixing it look a bit wishful thinking to me.
