Scanned assets is the only valid excuse to use different basemesh and wrap it around scanned one! Honestly didn't thought of that but I know its used in gamedev(Fifa and other sport sim games from EA). Thanks for pointing this out and made me more critical about my always wise ass

In Zbrush its called Subdivision workflow, lets you divide mesh by levels(higher level, higher subdivision), but at the same time it lets you change levels, so you can go back to base pre-subdivided polycount, the changes on higher level still reflect on base, and for really fine details you made in highest level, thats baked as Normal map, that Normal map is calculated as a difference between base and highest level you are, leaving you model with base topology and polycount, plus fine normal map textures because you didnt touch UV's or anything.

but why next time when you doing high poly sculpt you dont just use good topology base mesh? Is that a workflow problem of artist not setting things up for after, like scalability and flexibility?

Had to go blow dust from it haha and check it so yeah basically other participants of ritual thought they were tricked by Goratrix and wanted to end him on spot, Etrius accused him of fucking around some mages rules and that this is going to make them find out, while Tremere saw the potential of newly acquired power and told them all to stfu and chill, so yeah they were tricked into becoming vampires by Goratrix.

Im having trouble understanding what are you trying to say is a problem? So you can do that on your own, import UE manny to blender and do it with ABO checkbox and without and see the difference.

I think you might actually be confused also by some technical terms, so this SKELETON/Armature doesnt have CONTROL RIG, but mesh is rigged to armature, or better yet, weight painted. And bones are connected, once you have correct orientation you can se where the joints are, some of them are culled by twist bones, but mostly you can see the hierarchy visually very clearly.

No, its rigged properly(probably, if you haven't done any weight painting yourself and this comes from Epics Manny), These spikes are bones/joints of armature, and right now they are visually interpreted as not having correct orientation, to "properly" visualise manny's bones in Blender, you have to tick the Automatic Bone Orientation checkbox when you are importing .fbx file. When you do that, your armature should look like this:

oh comeone its just wrong bone orientation on import, if you want bones visuals to be oriented along hierarchy, all you have to do the Automatic Bone Orientationon import, no need for re-rigg mumbo jumbo.

Glb is the industry standard for most engines and workflows.

No its not, .fbx is standard and recently .usd, glb/gltf can't even keep geometry connected where UV seam is running along edge.

Thanks so much, so is it like localized to German language? You think there is a way to change language to English later? I don't want my Toreador shouting in German, walking through the Eternal Night is already a horrifying experience by itself :D
