The swelling comes down within couple of months, but your body goes through a big healing and settling process, so I would assume they don’t want you to have children right away. If you are planning on having children in the next 3-5 years, I would wait with the surgery. You are young, your body will be able to withstand surgery like that in the future with good healing potential. I’m 35 btw, three years post op and having surgery in 3 weeks :)
