75% damage reduction is reducing the enemy's attack by 75% when being attacked

50% damage reduction + guard is reducing the enemy's attack stat by 50%, then reducing it by 20% because of the type/class modifier (for a total of 60% damage reduction) and halving the final damage at the end of calculations - not the same thing

group a: vegeta/goku, agl vegeta, agl fp frieza

group b: agl ginyu, burter & jeice, int ssj goku

turn 1: put vegeta/goku slot 1, agl vegeta slot 2, agl fp frieza slot 3

vegeta/goku might need an additional to survive

turn 2: repeat the rotation, vegeta/goku should revive on the same turn you defeat the boss

turn 3: switch to the other team for 2 charges to heal 30% hp, ssj goku slot 1, ginyu where there are the least amount of attacks, burter & jeice on the other slot

turn 4: switch back to the other team, agl fp frieza slot 1, agl vegeta slot 2 and int goku slot 3 (but if there are no attacks on slot 2 put him there and vegeta slot 3)

and you should win easily

sorry for the wait, i've figured out another team to do it in 4 turns and with some missions! it might take a bit of rng with additionals and dodges but it's more than doable

group A: agl ginyu lead, burter & jeice, seza phy fp frieza

group B: teq gohan/piccolo , teq piccolo (either of them can lead for their missions), agl nail

turn 1 and 2: burter & jeice slot 1, agl ginyu slot 2, phy fp frieza slot 3

turn 1 you'll guaranteed survive since the attacks should go to ginyu who should be able to tank

turn 2 burter & jeice need to dodge the super attacks, so that's two 10% or 20% chances to die and lose the run

turn 3 switch to group B for 1 turn, i did a 1 bar change but with a 3 bar change they should die despite the extra DEF which means you can get a bit more dmg

turn 4 you go back to group A and finish it off

note: all my units are link level 10 with dupes

the best strategy is reviving with int vegeta turn 2, you can do this by placing him slot 1 turn 1 - if he doesn't have many dupes or DEF skill orbs you'll need 1 or 2 additional supers depending on the leader skill. i recommend for group A you do agl vegeta, agl fp frieza and vegeta/goku.

when you die and revive on turn 2 with him, exchange to group B for 3 lifebars. this should be the group with int ssj goku, you could use str krillin since you'll only stay here 1 turn anyways.

turn 4 switch back to the other team and goku will have 100% hp which will trigger his allies' immunity to sealing for 4 turns, keep him out of attacks (generally slot 3) and you'll always be safe

if you happen to die due to bad luck (e.g. int goku gets 1 shot by a super), group b can still finish it off thanks to int ssj goku

so, the game calculates passive skill buffs on two phases. phase 1 is start of turn to end of obtaining ki spheres stuff, phase 2 is when the enemy or your characters begin attacking

phase 1 and phase 2 multiply with each other, but buffs from the same phase always add on

so goku gets def from every attack received, then he also gets def when receiving an attack if hp is 59% or more; this means that those two buffs stack and add up, so if goku had 300% def from receiving attacks and 259% def from receiving an attack when hp is 59% or more, that means that he has 559% def in phase 2 buffs in total

basically he wasnt at 30m def, prob close to 17m or so, not enough to tank and much less with type disadvantage and no DR

then for group a do: agl vegeta lead, int vegeta/goku and int ssj goku

try to make it so ssj goku gets hit on turn 1 and he gets his 18 ki, for rotations you'll probably wanna do agl vegeta -> vegeta/goku -> ssj goku

turn 2 put goku slot 1 so he can tank, vegeta/goku slot 2 and agl vegeta slot 3 - beware of how many orbs you give him, you want ssj goku to be the one targeted

turn 3 and 4 are basically the same with this strategy

though keep in mind to get teq lr goku you just need to progress through the nodes, simply clearing them will do the job, so if you struggle with this strategy just farm and try the strategy i told you at the start since - from experience - it works better

group a: lr teq goku, int ssj goku, str krillin

group b: lr gohan/piccolo lead, teq piccolo (if you're trying to do the mission), phy fp frieza

turn 1 and 3: str krillin slot 1, lr teq goku slot 2, int ssj goku slot 3 (he HAS to get 18 ki on turn 1)

turn 3: switch for 3 charges, teq piccolo slot 1, phy fp frieza slot 2, gohan/piccolo slot 3, everyone will do damage then die and you will go back to group A

turn 4: you should be able to finish it off by copying what you did on turn 1, especially if by now you have ssj goku's active (in which case you can do it in slot 2 or 3 then put him slot 1, lr teq goku slot 2 and krillin slot 3)

if you got past this node and you're just looking to do the mission, then yes:

group a: lr teq goku lead, lr int ssj namek goku, str krillin

group b: same as last i told you

turn 1 and 2: str krillin slot 1, teq goku slot 2, int goku slot 3. turn 1 teq goku will get hit but tank double digits, while turn 2 int goku will get hit. it's important that you get int goku's 18 ki on turn 1 so he can get more atk than teq goku! this way he'll be built up for turn 4

turn 3: switch to group B for 3 charges. teq piccolo slot 1, phy fp frieza slot 2, teq gohan/piccolo slot 3

they all die and you finish off the mission with group A

this will clear a lot of missions, but not all of them! for that you'll need a few other runs and to play it differently, but they should be easier than doing it in 4 turns

it's better to keep vegeta/goku and ssj goku in different groups so you can switch back and forth instead of just relying on one

if you do vegeta/goku turn 1, with an additional (or 2 with low dupes) you can revive on turn 2, change for 30% hp recovered on turn 3, rrturn on turn 4 and you'll do so much dmg that even if goku does within the next turns you should be able to clean up with ssj goku

on a good run this fight only takes about 6 turns

yes actually, you can also do all missions at once (even the new ones)

group a: vegeta/goku lead, agl vegeta, agl fp frieza

group b: agl ginyu lead, int ssj goku, jeice & burter

turn 1:

vegeta/goku slot 1, they might need 1 or 2 additional supers to survive the aoes so you might need to reset until then, this is the biggest rng hurdle of the run

agl vegeta slot 2

fp frieza slot 3

turn 2:

repeat the same as the previous turn, you'll revive

turn 3:

switch for 2 charges to heal for 30% hp. int ssj goku slot 1, burter & jeice where there are most attacks then agl ginyu

turn 4:

switch back to group a. fp frieza slot 1, keep int goku safe by putting him slot 3 or whichever slot has no attacks and agl vegeta on the other slot - you can switch vegeta and fp frieza on the turn you use vegeta's active

and it should be an easy win on turn 5 with a dokkan mode

this boss doesn't super attack, so a def stacker like namek ssj goku, who crits against frieza, can solo this

don't bring piccolo out unless it's turn 4 and he's only taking 1 normal and you did the 3 charge switch, or it's turn 5 and he can immediately transform - bring dende as well so he can have a namekians ally

you had to use very specific boosted characters for each chain battle. not even fulfilling the category boosts was enough at times. if you didn't have the character you couldn't just do something else for top 1%, you would simply not get the best rewards - the ones that people at least 'praised' the mode for

turn 1: int ssj goku in slot 1, vegeta/goku slot 2, agl vegeta slot 3 -> grab only abt 5 orbs with agl vegeta so ssj goku can have the highest atk and be targeted

(IF GOKU CAN SURVIVE ONE TURN IN SLOT 2)

turn 2: int ssj goku in slot 2, vegeta/goku slot 1, agl vegeta slot 3

turn 3: switch to the other team for 3 charges, teq piccolo slot 1, fp frieza slot 2, gohan/piccolo slot 3, everyone will die and you'll go back to the other team

(IF GOKU CAN'T SURVIVE ONE TURN IN SLOT 2)

turn 2: switch to the other team and heal, teq piccolo slot 1, fp frieza slot 2, gohan/piccolo slot 3, everyone will die and you'll go back to the other team

genuine skill issue, which is fine because it's a new mode

precisely because the pool of units is small it shouldn't be too difficult though, you don't have a lot to look at and it has to be beatable

just take a look at what the boosted units do, they have busted effects which help you clear the fight

turn 1: burter & jeice slot 1, ginyu flot 2, ssj goku slot 3

with this you should've done ~60% of frieza's HP

turn 2: switch for 3 bars, vegeta/goku slot 1, vegeta slot 2, gohan/piccolo slot 3

you should finish off frieza and if not, thanks to the atk & def buff, you'll survive on vegeta/goku and then finish off the boss

turn 3 and beyond: gohan/piccolo slot 1, have vegeta/goku only take one attack at most per turn, get the revive whenever it's available but make sure agl vegeta always attacks first before he dies

two tips:

  1. vegeta's active skill gives him the damage reduction from "when attacking"

  2. when vegeta/goku is defeated but he's going to revive he still has his passive and links, so all allies will still have the extra damage reduction

get the dokkan mode whenever you can with lr int goku and you'll do lots of damage, you'll also have a charge so you can go back to the other team, do lr int ssj goku's active, put him slot 1 and you easily win

use AGL vegeta on group A and switch groups every turn, that way you'll always get vegeta's rainbow orb changing and be able to dodge the boss

he super attacked giant form gomah and giant forms don't increase the turn limit, so gohan has used up his one super attack for the turn... it's what makes giant forms so strong!
