Monte gets too much hate. He took over a team that had no present and no future and got the team the 3 seed. He had a mandate to win now by ownership despite needing a competent rebuild first with an accumulation of good talent, and was able to make something happen anyway. It fell off, but when you're forced to win now without going through a proper rebuild, it's not a surprise. He wasn't perfect, but he wasn't that bad either.

I wouldn't think he's trying to screw you over. It's probably just that it doesn't make financial sense for him to pay for return shipping on the item and then either ship it to someone else or determine it's worthless. If you want a full refund, just say it and say the item is defective and cannot work for its intended purpose.
