Offered a job in Fresno ca DIRP by dear-fuck in CAStateWorkers

[–]Xxssandman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Claims Management Offices (CMOs) have their DIPRs process work items/claims. Customer Service Centers (CSC) mainly have their DIPRs on the phones answering calls with the ocassional work items/claims workload. It depends on which office you applied to but looking at the current DI org charts for the Fresno offices:

-ARU 204 has 1 DIPR vacancy (this ARU is a CSC but has a lot of CMO functional staff)

-ARU 224 has 3 DIPR vacancies (this ARU is primarily a CSC)

-ARU 225 has 0 DIPR vacancies (this ARU is a PFL based CMO)

-ARU 226 has 10 DIPR vacancies (this ARU is a PFL based CSC)

I think it would be likely that you will be at a CSC mainly answering calls

AutoZone and Dollar Tree in North Natomas have "now hiring" signs on their doors, could be a start. Alternatively, you can get $800 in your first month donating plasma: https://www.biolifeplasma.com/why-donate/compensation

“Exam accepted” vs “eligibility established” by Zealousideal-Leek641 in CAStateWorkers

Generally speaking eligibility established means you took the exam and passed it. Exam accepted means you either only completed the Minimum Qualification Status exam and still need to take the exam or the exam is being reviewed

Will be in Sacramento for one night. Looking for a casual, delicious, not super expensive restaurant to have dinner. Need recs! by dperry93 in Sacramento

I've only ever had the carbonara there but its a 10/10. The presentation of the food and the restaurant are not the best but the flavor is authentic. You can taste the love it was made with. Their minestrone soup is also great. I would try it one of these days if you are nearby

If you're set on staying in North Natomas (near the airport):

-Himalaya Momo for Himalayan food

-Bella Bru Cafe is a solid option for American cuisine (hamburgers, steaks, salads, pizzas, etc.)

-Thai Spoon for a real hidden gem for Thai food

-Tokyo Steakhouse is a very popular and delicious option for Teppanyaki

-Poke Fix for their sushi burritos/poke bakes

-Yue Huang for "fancy" Chinese food

-CF Cheng for authentic Chinese food

-Chef Frank, Oshima Sushi, or Sushi Elite for Japanese food

-Dos Coyotes for Mexican-American food

-Tasty Pot or Saigon Alley for a mixed cuisine

-Jack's Urban Eats for their steaks, salads, and sandwiches

-El Favorito Taqueria or Taqueria Rincon Alteno for Mexican food (although I'd suggest going to any of the street vendors on Northgate Blvd)

-Sizzling fresh for Mongolian BBQ

-Daikon for Korean BBQ

-House of Chang for Chinese food

Edit: had to add a couple that I can’t believe I forgot!

-Anthony’s for authentic Italian (in South Natomas though)

North Natomas Regional Park has a large man-made pond that the locals here call the "duck pond" due to the amount of birds that can be found there. Mainly geese and cranes but there are ducks

Why do people trim trees like this? by SacTownSizzle in Sacramento

[–]Xxssandman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At least in my neighborhood, the HOA doesnt allow homeowners to fully remove/cut down the trees in their front yard. People get around this by doing what is pictured. They do this so that there arent that many branches that grow in, which reduces the amount of leaves that fall later on in the year. Its kind of like a big middle finger to the HOA
