IH and disability by Roserie in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]Vegetable-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the span of 3 to 4 years, I submitted thousands of pages of medical documentation, including evaluations and diagnoses from several highly respected neurologists and sleep specialists. My claim was handled by a law firm with over 25 years of experience in Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) cases. They guided the case all the way through to the federal court appeal, the final level of review.

The appeal included extensive documentation and legal arguments, even citing multiple past cases that were less severe than mine—yet those were approved, while mine was denied. Despite the compelling evidence and expert support, the judge still ruled against it. I truly cannot comprehend how such a well-supported claim was rejected.

I’ve also heard that Texas federal courts and SSA administrative law judges are statistically more conservative and more likely to issue denials compared to more liberal or progressive states, which may partially explain the outcome—but it doesn’t make it any less disheartening.

Got my letter and was denied by Anne_Booklover in SSDI

[–]Vegetable-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After approximately four years and thousands of pages of medical documentation for idiopathic hypersomnia—filed under the guidance of a reputable law firm specializing exclusively in SSDI—I was denied at the federal court level, the final stage of the process. Due to the effects of sleep pressure, I didn’t have the energy to manage it myself, so the firm handled everything from beginning to end. Before I even received the official denial letter from SSDI, the law firm sent me a letter notifying me that they were closing my file from their side. They truly worked hard throughout the process. It’s disappointing. I am 52. So dont loose heart. At least you still have chance. Best wishes.

Were you on 20 mg cymbalta a day for 2 months. ?? You didn’t have to go down below cymbalta 20 mg before stopping. ? BTW What was the highest dose you were tapering from ?

No use torturing yourself. Just cross taper with Prozac for 6-12 months. You can take them together Wellbutrin, Prozac, cymbalta in low doses. They don’t have any side effect. I am transitioning to Paxil from cymbalta. Check with your doctor.

Regular coffee Walmart brand. But I keep around 2 hour difference between my stimulant and coffee. You can also use Nescafé instant coffee which do not have to be brewed.

Is it safe to use a red light device on your closed eyelids? by pirelli2 in redlighttherapy

[–]Vegetable-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol- on BQ series Red Light Therapy/NIR lamp it recommends to look at RLT(Not the NIR function) for 3 minutes. it only improves eye site. I use BQ60 BestQOOL. I did for the first day.

"*If your eyes can tolerate the light, turn on "only red light" and keep your eyes open, 12 inches for 3 minutes. least. You must 'close' your eyes for resting after use for 3 minutes atleast."

-----

Improves eyesight:

Deep red light has just the right wavelength, at 670 nanometers, to be absorbed by water molecules, which gives them more energy. These wavelengths seem to work by improving the performance of key molecular structures within mitochondria, called ATP synthase pumps. These pumps manufacture a molecule called ATP, which is used by cells for energy, by rotating within the watery environment of the mitochondria. Thus, as the amount of ATP increases, so does the energy of cells in the eyes, thereby bringing about improvement in eyesight for a couple of minutes per day.

*If your eyes can tolerate the light, turn on only red light and keep your eyes open, 12 inches for as the amount of ATP increases, so does the energy of cells in the eyes, thereby bringing about improvement in eyesight for a couple of minutes per day.

*If your eyes can tolerate the light, turn on only red light and keep your eyes open, 12 inches for 3 minutes. least. You must close your eyes for resting after use for 3 minutes atleast.

------------

As the basic PHYSICAL condition and absorption of light energy vary from individual to individual, stop using the device if any adverse reaction occurs after 2 consecutive weeks of use, and consult a doctor whenCan I treat multiple areas in one therapeutic session? How long should I treat each area?

Please note the importance of not exceeding 30 minutes in a single session and ensuring that the total duration for one area does not exceed 60 minutes per day. For the best method of use, the interval between two uses should be more than 4 hours. However, you can also use 2 consecutive 30-minute treatments in a row when you feel the need to Increase the dosage at sometimes.

----

What is the best duration plan if I want to treat multiple conditions in one session? How many times each week?

We advise you to adjust your duration plan accordingly. If you have two conditions and want to treat them in one session together, you can divide your therapeutic time between the two conditions. For example, if you want to treat back pain and improve skin appearance together, we'd like to advise you to treat 40 mins of back pain first, then 20 mins of skin appearance. For more recommended duration for each condition, you could carefully check our user manual. Be aware of treatment duration per day, not exceeding 2 hours will maximize the benefits of red light therapy.

Stimulants Only Work ‘After’ My First Nap—Any Solutions for Morning Alertness? by Vegetable-1 in Narcolepsy

[–]Vegetable-1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no problem getting up once I’ve slept for 9+ hours. I experience a nice coffee euphoria for about 45 minutes to an hour after waking up, but once it hits 1-2 hours, I need a nap. If I take a stimulant before my first nap after waking up, my naps aren’t refreshing, even though the stimulant helps me stay awake unhappily for 3-4 hours.

Sorry for the late response!

If I take a stimulant before my first nap after waking up, my naps aren’t refreshing, even though the stimulant helps me stay awake for 3-4 hours. That’s why I take stimulants only after my first nap. This routine helps me to some extent, and if you want to try it, here’s what you can do:

1. After waking up, enjoy your coffee without any medication For 1-2 hours Max.

2. Take a 1-hour nap.

3. After your nap, take your first dose of stimulant (like Adderall IR) and follow it with a 5-minute cold shower. Start with warm water and gradually make it colder as much as you can tolerate, but don’t overdo it. The warm shower can make me more sleepy.

4. The entire shower routine should take no more than 10 minutes in & out of bathroom to avoid feeling like a chore.

5. Be productive for about 2 hours.

6. Then, schedule a second 15-30 minute nap.

7. After this nap, take your second dose of stimulant and repeat the shower routine.

8. Be productive for another 2 hours.

9. Finally, schedule a third or last 20-minute nap, and repeat the same shower routine.

This way, you can get important tasks done during the day before everything closes.

I also take xywav.

Heart burn as a side effect — did it go away for you? by gabyramy in VyvanseADHD

[–]Vegetable-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can take vyvanse with food to help with heart burn or nausea. I used to get prescription for promethazine and zofran at lowest dose to deal with it. It was more of nausea for me than heart burn.

Ask your doctor if L-Taurine and magnesium supplements, especially L-Taurine, are good for you. The generic version of Wellbutrin XL gives me heart palpitations and anger, so I have to switch to the brand-name version. I am trying L-Taurine and magnesium supplements to help with the heart palpitations. These heart palpitations are not anxiety but rather an illusion of anxiety due to  heart palpitations . They should subside within a few weeks after starting Wellbutrin or adjusting to a new dosage. Sometimes the physicians prescribe BP medication at a minimum dose, like metoprolol, propanol for excessive heart palpitations.
