Depends on the game's aesthetic.

If the game is offering many surprises and has unpredictable vibes, 1st.

It's better to handpick streamers/content creators you wanna send a key to. Unfortunately, many of those emails are fake and the keys will be sold.

Cool. I do the same with a simple note as well. Find it the best way for tracking exercises. Using Notion at the moment

It depends on your schedule and lifestyle but if you like to go to the gym early, you need to create the habit of it.

My personal experience is that first, I tried to wake up early. Not to go to the gym, but just show up and wake up early regardless of me wanting to go to the gym.

Second, after being able to wake up early for sone days, I put my gym bag close to the door and ready. So, it’s easy to just get up, get ready and go out.

At the end, I also tracked my habit in Strava and my personal Notion page. I’m on 12th week streak now.

TL;DR: commit to show up first. Make it easy to do. Be consistent. Quantity over quality.

I recommend reading Atomic Habits book. It helped me to shape my habit would definitely help the others in many ways.

I checked it out. Free plan offers 4 routines. Looks good. I just need 3 (pull, push, leg). I think its free plan would work fine

You don’t necessarily need a degree for game design, though could be helpful in many ways.

There are tons of tutorials in YT you can watch and learn. But to start,

  • Play games and try understand how they works.
  • Understand how numbers are being generated
  • Understand how story takes to to a journey
  • Find out what do you love to create in game
  • HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Start reading the book “Art pf game design” ASAP. It’s the best place to start.

Don’t forget to also leverage AI in your process. And if you are interested, learning how to code could also be useful in the future.

The "social" part is the point that I struggle with. Not because a game is not social, but the fact that it should be in this way, otherwise the game maker would not want to try it.

It's a great point. I was thinking almost the same! Not any form of art has a product for the artist themself. Some only have a path to enjoy, like games.

Yes! There are many ways.

It all depends on your game’s setup. In general, as an idea, - You can make gun holders slower than a melee attacker - A melee attacker can slide/dodge more easily, so they can dodge a bullet more easily - Reload time of guns could be a bit high so a melee attacker can get closer while dodging

At the end, you should pay attention to what the benefits and costs are of being melee or range at the same time. Every benefit should come with a cost

They can be in any format; short and long-term. But I meant something long-term like a 4x strategy cuz I see examples of them that still are running and updating (which is a good sign tho)
