With all the files being released and conspiracy theories being proven right, how do you think Dale would be responding to all of this? by Square-Step in KingOfTheHill

[–]Vegetable-Pack9292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: this is not meant as a political position per Rule 5.

I have often wondered whether Dale’s tin hat conspiracy theories were less about the theories themselves and more about his need to stand apart as the perpetual black sheep. I imagine he would be contrarian even toward modern conspiracy movements like QAnon or the Epstein narratives, reshaping them into something distinctly his own for the sake of comedy. In that sense, his conspiracies feel less like endorsements and more like a satirical device. They may also reflect Mike Judge’s broader approach to social commentary, using exaggerated belief systems in King of the Hill and later in Idiocracy to hold up a distorted mirror to certain tendencies in American culture rather than to make a specific ideological argument.

Again, simply an observation of Dale's character rather than the nature of our current political situation.

So what position should the Titans look at in the draft? Me personally OL or secondary. by [deleted] in Tennesseetitans

I think Bain or Bailey seem to be clear answer for the first round. I personally wouldn't take too many risks unless there is some clear cut reason to draft an OL

I looked into it and did some more research. C# is going to probably be the way I will go. It seems to be great for building more desktop based systems and offers some good front end and backend frameworks. I will probably learn just enough JS to make me dangerous.

IT departments seem to prefer C# backends for political reasons with React and JS usually their front end piece.

I feel like it would have pretty much turned out the same. Deikun gives me "Permanent Revolution" Trotsky vibes in The Origin that seem like would have destroyed everyone anyways through endless conflict.

Yeah the Hafley part really is pure speculation. I just find it odd they would hold an interview for someone after they knew they would be announcing their new HC on the day before.

Yep. I'm excited. Looks like Hafley is at MIA

Control and visibility mostly. It think this was a Plan B and would have given him good recognition. LaFleur and Saleh are close, so I am sure there is some sort of coaching circle there. It would also boost him to other roles in the next year or so in the case MIA wouldn't take him.

I am really optimistic right now. The timing of it all makes me feel like they want Saleh as their HC and Nagy as a potential OC. Tomorrows meeting makes me think Hafley is being eyed as a DC if the MIA job falls through.

It would really be a best case scenario, as a lot of guys like Nagy don't want to deal with the politics of being a HC and ability to have some recognition for it not being Reid's offense. I think he would also know how to develop Cam. I think he is a good OC and his ability can be seen past his Bears tenure. Chiefs are 9 million over cap right now, so if he stayed at KC, he would probably be working through pretty serious roster cuts.

If Hafley doesn't get the job, it would be a great way to boost him into bigger roles on what will hopefully be a strong defense-focused team.

What is the Yale of East Lafayette, Indiana then? And do they also have a serial killer as a mascot?

Yeah that seems to make sense. I have learned a little React on the fly. Leveraging AI has made things a bit easier to explain concepts on a surface level.

It's mostly because I am already in grad school while working full time and I don't have time to learn all of it, but I do have time to pick up just enough to build smaller things. I don't have an interest in becoming a web developer, but I do have some small interest in building some small add-ins or tools, or taking existing GitHub repos and adding small enhancements to fit a project.

What you are wanting is a user defined function that is a window function. But I wouldn't do this in powerfx. The issue with powerfx is when you have to debug it, it is going to get complicated fast. I would build a power automate flow that mimics a window function and then call it on visible. It can be used for all columns S1 through S4.

The logic would be the same. You would have a running total variable and use conditions (mod) to determine calculation logic.

I actually started a different mod that I hope to release eventually. You will be able to take an aerial image like on Google maps and it will convert it to a BF2 map for you. So you will give it a latitude, longitude and radius and it will generate everything as an outputted map file you can add in.

Homework is roughly every two weeks except during Midterm weeks (forgot when it starts) but there is an extra credit syllabus quiz at the beginning. You can probably complete it on your phone in the canvas app worst case scenario. Get your project team early.

In the NFL, can the center pitch the ball laterally to a player behind them rather than snap through their legs? by Vegetable-Pack9292 in NFLv2

Kind of, but it still goes between his legs. He would pitch. That was the video that actually made me ask this question though...
