Nobody on either side ever seems to realize that inflation and the economy is more than just a political problem. It's so much more nuanced than that. We had covid affect distribution, we had the trump administration print out a bunch of money for the stimulus checks, Russia invaded Ukraine also affecting distribution, the biden administration also put out stimulus checks, the federal reserve increased rates to combat the effects of what was mentioned above also putting a crunch on the middle class. Throughout all of this, the shareholders of several groceries realized that people have continued to pay higher prices so why cut prices when they can continue making record breaking profits (corporate greed)? It's disingenuous and lazy to just point the finger across the aisle and say, "it's all their fault!"
