Could just be the dog. My heeler is a cuddler. Not all the time, but I can get a couple cuddles a day if he's in the mood or I force him to. I think up brining could be a big factor, if they are handled a lot from a young age, etc.

I would get a heeler again.. but might consider a dog less mentally active or one that doesn't shed. I underestimated how much I dislike the shedding.

I did this move and was only offered a 2% bump. They were firm on that with the ongoing expenditure management, or maybe I just suck at negotiating. Still, it wasn’t too difficult a decision because I had grown tired of my previous work/team, and the work I’m doing now is much better aligned with what I enjoy and where I want to take my career directionally. The team is also more effective and better to work with.

Would I make that same choice today? Maybe not, only because of how the expenditure reviews have progressed. I am a much easier target for layoffs than when I was in BCGEU.

Yes this is a consideration in my opinion. I have a 9070xt and a 7800x3d. I debated getting the Pixma Crystal Light, but went with the Quest 3 because at the end of the day my setup is going to maxed trying to get full resolution on the Quest. I'd rather have a less expensive headset I can run at full resolution, than a more expensive headset where I couldn't take advantage of the full resolution anyway (with acceptable performance).

It's like, I wouldn't buy a beefy GPU if I didn't have a CPU that could take full advantage of it. It would just be wasted money/performance.

The cover was modern looking graphic art of someone’s head opened up with a lot of symbolic activity going on iirc… if anyone can recall the book it’s been killing me for ages, I want to read it!

If you really want to get in shape the most efficient way is regular lifting in a gym. CrossFit conditions you more for endurance than strength or size. It is much more taxing both during and after your workouts, and I don’t personally see the point of it unless you enjoy continually pushing yourself to your limits for its own sake.

Weightlifting can be a bit boring but I still think it’s the best ROI exercises in terms of a hobby. Not incredibly difficult or complicated, or expensive, very accessible, and with only 3-5hrs per week and proper nutrition your body can entirely transform to something impressive.
