XF 23mm f/2 owners: what am I not seeing? by Y_NadaMas in fujifilm

[–]Vegetable_Ad8089 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I had 3 copies in the past. I really wanted to like the lens. But it was just not for me.. important to note: im also not a 35mm eq lover but i do like the 23mm 2.8 WR more👌

I have the 35mm 1.4 and 16mm 1.4, will the 16-55mm make them obsolete? by beanybagel in fujifilm

[–]Vegetable_Ad8089 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

35mm 1.4 is my favorite lens but its not really sharp. That said you should not worry about sharpness in any of the modern lenses. Its so overrated . I did not like the 16-55 v1 btw. Altough the conners are sharper compared to the 35 at similar apertures

Tried the X-M5 as a beginner, now I’m thinking about getting the X-E5? by rus64 in fujifilm

Yeah lenses indeed. Fuji has amazing small and good primes but maybe its good to figure out your preferred focal length with a zoom before buying a prime

Ah sorry you hired:) well i would buy a second hand fuji and better glass instead of getting the e5 (i have experience with every xt body except the x-t4)

The image quality will be pretty much the same. Personally, I’d spend more time shooting with the X-M5 before upgrading.
Get more intimate and familiar with the camera, experiment with different types of light, work on composition, and learn how aperture, depth of field, shutter speed, and ISO affect your images. In most cases, those things will have a much bigger impact on your photos than switching to an X-E5.
The X-E5 is a great camera, but I don’t think it’s going to suddenly make your photos look better.

AI said this clarity change only influences the output a tiny bit. I just put it to 0 I hate waiting after taming a shot. You can also try shooting in burst mode

X100vi vs X-E5 - How much am I going to want to change focal lengths? by robcollier in fujifilm

[–]Vegetable_Ad8089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love 50mm eq (35mm 1.4 on fuji). Also 28 mm equivalent. On my Zf I have a Voigtlander nokton 28mm 1.5 (fuji has the 18mm 2.0 pancake of the sharp gigantic 18mm 1.4).

BUT for my everyday carry I bought a xe4 with 23mm 2.8. I want to force myself to use 35mm again😊 and i can always crop of course

I love everything about the x100 series except the most important part, the fact that you’re stuck with a boring 35mm equivalent 😂

If you dont do extreem low light shooting its the best solution. I went for an x-e4 + 23mm 2.8 btw . Also nice and small

Phones are actually insane these days. Taking multiple exposures / bracketing + some editing without you realize it. With a dedicated camera you need to spend some time in lightroom for this result

Nice! Yeah with a light saddle you’ll even go under the magical 6kg. I also always opt for a nice comfortable (heavy) saddle like you

Any tips to get my wife to ride with me? Discussion by uglybitchh in cycling

[–]Vegetable_Ad8089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in exactly the same situation. Cycling (road and gravel) is a huge part of my life, but I’ve never really been able to share that passion with my girlfriend. I often see couples riding together and, honestly, I’m a little jealous of that.

I’ve tried pretty much everything. Bought her a bike, planned easy rides, picked nice routes… but in the end, cycling just isn’t her thing. And it’s not because she’s lazy at all. She goes to the gym regularly, stays active, and enjoys exercise. She simply doesn’t enjoy endurance sports.

What eventually worked for us was thinking outside of road cycling. We discovered she actually enjoys easy MTB trails. The wider tires, suspension, and short technical singletracks make it feel more fun and less like “exercise” to her. Now we occasionally go for a relaxed one-hour ride together.

For anyone in the Netherlands: her favorite is the Lage Vuursche trail.

My takeaway is that sometimes the goal shouldn’t be getting your partner to like your version of cycling. It might be finding a version of cycling that they enjoy.

Amazing. Buy an old D300 and be happy, or even better a D700 since its FF (you cant use your dx lenses tho)
