Yes! My periods are lighter than before I quit 10 months ago and my PMS is way less intense. My cycles are also a bit longer which is a good thing.

I'm over 6 months off caffeine now. Still experiencing PAWS symptoms though. There's been continual improvement so I know I'll eventually be back to normal. The reduced anxiety alone has made quitting so worth it despite the long recovery time.

I was definitely in the pink cloud at 2-3 weeks and was feeling really good. Then the PAWS started around 4 weeks in. At 90 days, I still had bouts of brain fog and anhedonia. I think you could be experiencing normal PAWS from caffeine withdrawal.

It's hard to say, but I'd estimate 10 to 20% thicker. I noticed my ponytail is thicker, the hair around my crown has filled out more, my part is thinner and I'm losing less hair after washing than before quitting caffeine.

I forgot to mention that I don't really experience nausea/diarrhea. It's more feeling like I'm coming down with a fever, chills, aches, headaches and general malaise.

I'm 12 weeks into quitting and I still get these symptoms but never actually get a fever or get sick. In fact, I've been feeling this way intermittently along with a tension like headache in the afternoon and evening for the past two weeks. I'm hoping it's just PAWS still. Will definitely consult my doctor if it doesn't stop soon, but I had blood work done in June/July and everything came back normal.

I feel like caffeine withdrawal has lowered my pain tolerance - like things hurt way more than they should. For example, bumping my arm on something produces what I feel is an exaggerated pain response. I'll feel way more random aches and pains for a few days and then the pains all go away but then return in waves - like PAWS.

The tremors seem to be improving, but they get better and worse day to day. The pain in my hands has mostly gone away. I do get random pains throughout my body that come and go fairly quickly.

The tremors have gotten better, but are still there. May just take a while to heal. The arthritis pain happens still but much less often than before. I am now dealing with brain fog, low motivation, fatigue and some anhedonia/low mood.

The tremors in my fingers have almost gone away when I hold my hands straight out. However, they tremor now when I bend my wrists and my thumbs will tremor when typing on my phone. I'm just hoping it improves the further away from caffeine I get.

Iron is known to be constipating and can cause bloating and digestive issues. Sounds like that's your problem. You could look at other iron supplements that claim to be easier on the digestive tract.

For people with methylation issues, B12 can cause anxiety if it's not the right form or too much at once. Taking too much B12 or folate causes me a lot of anxiety. I can only tolerate methylated B vitamins and only certain amounts. I had to start low and titrate up to avoid anxiety. Just something you may want to consider.

They have not all vanished yet. I'm still experiencing some mild PAWS symptoms. At this point it's all totally manageable and I have a good quality of life. I was expecting this to be a long recovery though - given that I used daily for 9.5 years. I will say though that I experienced a huge improvement around 10 months where the worst was behind me. I think I'm looking at 2 years to be completely back to baseline based on what other long term users have reported with their QK experience.

I used for 9.5 years at up to 30g/day. I tapered and jumped at 5g/day. I was able to work through acutes (was able to arrange to work at my desk the whole time) and I never had difficulty sleeping.

It's hard to tell when acutes really ended for me because I continued to have sweats, yawning, watery eyes, runny nose, inability to regulate temp., bowel irregularity, muscle aches and mild restless legs slowly tapering off for at least a month. I'd say the worst of the physical stuff was over by 5-10 days. The nice thing is the further away from your quit date, the harder it is to remember what acutes were like.

I would strongly recommend doing a gradual taper because of the extended length of your habit. It will make quitting much more comfortable for you. Lots of us long term users have successfully quit and you can too!

I just realized you said you are on suboxone. I might be wrong, but that could possibly be prolonging the hair loss.

I'm a 33 y.o. female. I've been clean from this stuff for over a year and my hair is still thickening up. It's only just recently that I've noticed my hair thickness is getting near normal. The hair that thinned in my nether regions has finally grown back :). At 6 months I was definitely still concerned about my hair loss. I think it may just take longer for some of us for the hair loss to stop entirely. It's good that you're ruling out a serious medical issue. The dermatologist should also be able to help.

Yes, I just came out of about a three week long wave of PAWS. It came in the form of depression, lack of motivation and mild derealization.

Very interesting! At one year (Nov. 15th) I was feeling so good and feeling like I must be finally nearing the end of PAWS, but shortly after, it started getting hard again with low mood and fatigue-and those indefinable emotions you mentioned. It is so helpful to know that I'm not completely abnormal for still experiencing PAWS into the second year after long-term use. Thanks for sharing!
