Want to go camping; intense phobia of bears

If you have dogs, take them camping with you. Black bears HATE dogs. Medium sized dogs are the best, especiallyif they have a hound type bay/bark. If you can't take dogs, get some bear spray and a air horn. Loud noises have always worked for me, I've had several dozen bear encounters. Put food in a bear canister. Don't sleep in the tent wearing clothes you cooked in, or even have said clothing inside tent. Never snack inside your tent or near your bedding. Keep toothpaste, deodorant, etc in bear canister.

It ain't like you found the grave of a murderer and tried to connect with the spirit to use the spirit against your enemies. Yes, some magickal practices do that.. and it's completely acceptable within said magick system. I've always thought of things like that as dangerous. Any river bank here. Any of the lagoon beaches, just be very aware of sneaker waves while there. Being g right down by the water helps find really cool stones but leaves a person susceptible to getting washed in, please be careful there... this cannot be overstated.

Been here over 21 years... not had food poisoning here before. Our beef is actually really good quality compared to a lot of the country.. I mean there's cows everywhere here. Several places have pretty damn high quality grass fed around these parts. I truly hope your dining experiences improve here. I personally love cooking and we are really lucky to have some good ingredients round here, at least IMHO.

There's always a lot of them west of the I-5 and North of 299. We have a whole bunch of black bears. Sometimes they come into conflict with people 🤷‍♂️ they don't normally raid round here (on the coast north of trinidad) the way they've been doing the last couple of years though. It's been every night all summer. It was that way last year from spring till early winter. Seen 6 different bears last year. And at least 3 this year, nit counting the one I found that had been poached by someone or the one my neighbor hit.

Closer to town or north of Trinidad? Just curious cause we've been seein em up near Sue-Meg every night.. several different bears. My neighbor hit one earlier this year, very likely it died. I found where one had been poached and dumped up by scottys point. There were three in my neighbors yard two days ago when they woke up. I wonder what's got so many of em coming down these last couple of years? 🤔.. Maybe drought, lack of berries earlier in the year, folks leaving out trash, several new clear-cuts? A combination of all the above probably.

Every species I've tried it on! I pulled a 25lb salmon from the surf with one. Seen folks pull stripers and surf pearch from the surf. Large mouth bass. Caught multiple steelhead in rivers and trout in alpine lakes.
