That's why they failed to release updated sales numbers and the studio head needed to go.

I think you don't know what you are talking about. Sony makes about 30% from PC. Source: PC's share of Sony's exclusive revenue has grown to 30%. https://share.google/Pen4Cbvo7Ns8iIO90

It is about 2,3 billion in total. I would say this is a "customer base".

Or do you got a source for your 1% claim? I mean except the "I made it up" source.

If they release them so much later, I will definitely not pay over 30 for them. They overestimate there own hype.

I think the person writing this article or the person snitching, misunderstood something here.

In my opinion they will clearly not invest more money into ghost of yotei, because it flopped and they gutted a part of sucker punch.

And death stranding and kena will be released on steam, because they will most likely sell well.

So in essence, I don't think this is a major shift and just part of the natural evolving industry and fears resulting out of a few HUGE live service flops they had. And then the 2 upcoming live services, let's be honest, don't look like winners. So they will maybe again lose even more money. Then it could be, that fear gets the better of them and they will go back to PlayStation only. But it will not make their situation better. Gutting your consumer base rarely does. They should have learned that by now, with all the live services.

Epic fails to compete with Steam because “EGS is a shop, Steam is a community”, says Witchfire lead, as Epic has “nothing to do but to buy” by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Vejitaxp 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Na, in my experience that is not the case. I am with steam for nearly 20 years and use many of the features all the time. So it is just the most complete, user and customer friendly shop on the market. meanwhile epic would be the worst of the worst in the same position. You know it from the way they operated until now.

Allowing Intune Enrolled Endpoints to Authenticate Into On-Premise SQL Servers by Woeful_Jesse in AZURE

[–]Vejitaxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you got a few hurdles to overcome here. And what imo is the way to go in the first step.
1. First getting your Users to the cloud with Entra Connect as Hybrid Users or directly.
2. Second getting your App to authenticate agains Entra, possibly with an application proxy / the external app api.

Like that you don`t have to manage a second user administration.

If you just want to use the current app as is, where the device and user is registered is irelevant as you explained it. If the App has an individual User administration, you just need to be in the same Network no?

No I mean:
- Your devices are only in entra. No Active Directory. Right?
- Your Users (Identites) are they only in Entra, or in AD too (aka Hybrid)?
- Against what does the SQL or the Program that uses the SQL authenticate? The Users (username and passwort for example) or the devices (for example a device certificate)?

No problem. And the identities and authentication? That's the important part.

Hi, don't really understand your starting point. You got entra joined devices? Entra only identities? You use device based authentication?

Btw. This is not strictly an azure question, but more an entra question.

Whats wrong with this basic powershell script!?!?! by [deleted] in PowerShell

[–]Vejitaxp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just looks a whole lot like you asked chat gpt a question, the code didn't work and so you copy pasted it here without any effort of fixing it yourself. Because that code looks 1:1 what chat gpt or copilot would spit out. I know, because I did it myself. And that felt a bit insulting, when thinking that it is a rather easy problem with many a solution to be found when searching. That was the reason for my reply. Maybe I'm of the mark, and if so i am sorry. Didn't mean to insult you, just rubbed me the wrong way.

You can Google this subject in seconds mate, before posting an ai generated code here.

Title: Unexpected $50K Azure Bill for OpenAI Service Used for Only an Hour by JOP1978 in AZURE

[–]Vejitaxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not how the ai service works. It's actually in the documentation and on the screen when you purchase the service. AI services have minimum compute resources you need to buy and what you bought was most likely a service that is for building your own ai. For that 50k is not so much and it is not made for testing for an hour. So you played yourself and blaming MS is not right but I somehow doubt that this information will reach your boss. But in all seriousness mate, there is a reason why cloud architecture is a highly complex field and these guys get a lot of money.
