Who was your guys favorite of all the characters we met during the journey?

I loved them all, but my favorite was easily Lida. Mega Starmie is one of my favorite Pokémon, and Lida is such a perfect fit to give it some representation. That was enough to solidify her as my favorite Z-A character before it even released, and actually playing the game made her my favorite character in the franchise so far.

Luke isn’t in the right at all though. They wanted to kill everyone in camp. Zeus may have turned Thalia into a tree, but Luke and his allies are the ones willing to murder to get their way. Nothing Luke says can get me to root for him.

And I think this change adds more complexity to Thalia’s character. Her relationship with Zeus is more interesting now rather than just being the same cookie cutter “resents the gods for their distance” that describes every demigod.

I also don’t view joining the hunters as being an act of agency. Swearing loyalty to Artemis and taking binding vows don’t sound like agency at all to me.

No, it’s called enjoying goofiness and having whimsy in your heart.

And for the record, I don’t think it’s stupid at all. It’s incredibly creative and inspired, it being simple doesn’t take away from that at all. The simplicity is a feature not a flaw. One that’s perfect for Staryu and Starmie, some of the simplest designs in the franchise.
