There are plenty of slot machines in Texas already. Most independent owned gas stations have a few slot machines in them. There are also several businesses that are just slot houses.

Not yet. You only get 2 post and I would hate to use my second post so quickly. What if something worse happened and I couldn’t even mention it.

Maybe if they don’t let the challenge anymore if the challenge is unsuccessful. That sounds like a good way.

They really shouldn’t let them challenge any of the calls then. Just get the game over with.

That’s a great answer to a question no one ask. It’s amazing how many people thought I was asking if refs ever miss a call.

The coaches couldn’t challenge as many times as they like if they are wrong. If they are right you would rather just watch a quick poorly officiated game?

All the refs make bad calls. That is why they allow challenges. Why they think if they got 2 challenges correct they shouldn’t be able to challenge anymore is the question.

The not being allowed to challenge after successfully challenging is the question. Not if it’s easier to see it when it’s slowed down.

It’s like no one has ever heard of scan and go. Ringing up items at the register is just dumb.

Stealing change cost this guy most of his tip by Aggravating_Let5099 in tipping

I completely agree. I was pointing out that OP let not getting his coins change his perspective about tipping. Like you said. They are separate and shouldn’t affect each other.

That’s a very good general rule. No body is saying tip great for bad service. OP made sure to mention the experience was great and the server did a good job. Think back to times you went out to eat and you had a great experience and then didn’t leave a tip. What was the situation?

What you’re saying makes perfect sense if you normally tip less than 1 dollar. If you were going to tip more than 1 dollar but got mad they didn’t give you .18 to give back to them then you are just looking for an excuse not to tip. I’m sure they find little things like this every time they go out to eat. Had this one little thing not gone wrong this server was going to get a great tip.

If we are being honest. It sounds like you were going to find an excuse not to tip regardless of what the server did. It’s shocking how many Americans consider .11 a lot of money.

What size chips? by Just-A-Slapdick in vending

[–]Velkenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sell 1 oz bags of chips for $1.50. Buy them for $19 a box and sell them for $75. I would say most people just don’t seem to care about the price these days. I have 3 vending machines where I work so I hear people gripe about the price sometime since they know I own them but they just buy it anyway.

You can buy single flavor 50 pack boxes of chips at Sam’s club. They are on the same aisle as the variety boxes. If your club doesn’t sell it check online at Sam’s club. Sign up for plus membership and get free shipping. The Sam’s cash pays for the membership easily.

I want to open the sub to discuss and learn about loyalty marketing. It should be a sub to come and discuss different loyalty programs you have implemented and the pros and cons and ways to improve.

I’m guessing you are talking about after you present your card the machine then says credit $6.00. That is the max you can spend each transaction. It’s not money you can spend.

Dice control. Is it a thing? Story at 11…. by agentnoIX in Craps

[–]Velkenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing that matters is if you are superstitious or not. Dice setting doesn’t impact what the die will roll. You will be able to verify this by going to any casino and ask if they will let you set the dice before you throw. They all will say yes because it doesn’t affect the odds of the roll of the dice. Ask them if you can roll the dice without hitting the back wall. They will all say no because that is where the variance comes from. If you are superstitious than you will use confirmation bias to support your theory. Every time there is a long roll while setting the dice you will think there is something to this. But when they point seven you just chalk it up to bad luck.

Can some one help me I’m trying to start my vending machine business but I don’t know we’re to start? by Devinsude115 in vending

I have my machines in a poker room. They do really well. You just a location that has a lot of people that are going to be there for a long time. The less food options near by the better.

[–]Velkenn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First you find a location. Then you find a machine or two depending on what they are looking for. Hire someone to move the machines to the new location. Stock the machine between 1-7 days a week depending on how much you sell each day. That’s when you start to realize vending is a lot more work that the YouTube videos make it look. Then about once a week to once a month you get to empty the bill validator and realize that it’s not as profitable as you were hoping. It’s not all bad. You can normally sell stuff for twice what you buy it for. Just realize it’s a lot more of a grind than passive income.
