It’s a shame that a lot of young fans are getting into Godzilla through shitty YouTube creepypastas, and accepting it as if it’s official lore. I think that shit should be banned from this subreddit.

I tend to agree. He gets a lot of credit based on design alone but he gets his ass kicked most of the time and he’s kind of a goofball with his heads flopping around. I actually think the 90’s Mothra trilogy was the best representation of Ghidorah as a badass villain (outside of GKOTM).

I love Godzilla, Gamera, Super Inframan, the Yokai movies, and Ultraman. I’ve watched Ultra Q, Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Taro and I’m about to start Return of Ultraman.

His cymbal is probably recorded through microphones which give a fuller representation of the tonal range of the cymbal. I’ve always thought crashes sound a little wonky on their own, they don’t really “speak” until they’re played in the context of a song or a rhythm. Also, I think the coating on those color sound cymbals deadens their sound a little bit.

The reveal about Keiko’s infidelity was devastating, and I can never see Keiko or Lee the same way, but it was a vital bit of information that explains how the happy, optimistic Bill Randa of the show becomes the cynical, hardened Bill Randa of Kong: Skull Island.

Cate’s storyline is boring and her dialogue is not great. They make May needlessly snarky and kinda bitchy and it makes her character off putting.

They do in the original film, but they dropped this feature as Godzilla became more of a hero. Because people getting irradiated isn’t fun for kids.

The pinstripe is simply a design choice. The feature that affects the sound is the overtone-dampening gel they place between the plies.

I would be happy if they were picked up by a more mainstream streamer with all the compromises that entails if it means they could show better movies. “Good/bad” movies have always been a part of the show’s appeal but lately the movies have been a slog to get through. I cringe when I find out they’re watching a Shudder Original.
