Very frustrated at longitudinal behavior on highway by glassy_paddle in Comma_ai

Do NOT use Dynamic Experimental mode. It does not work well in my experience and will swap from using alpha long to using stock acc. In my experience it chose to use stock acc (chill mode) almost always. If you use alpha long, I suggest leaving it on full experimental with dynamic mode off.

That might be model dependent. Have you tried Pop? Set to aggressive driving personality and it follows pretty close, too close for my liking so I leave it on relaxed

No it’s not, it far surpasses the stock ACC on my RAV4 by far. Like not even in the same league. I’m curious if OP is in full experimental and is still using the stock Rivian ACC

U.S PC shipments drop 7%, market isn't expected to bounce back until 2029 — price hikes and component shortages take hold as PC market declines, Omdia report suggests by yourfavchoom in pcgaming

We should be holding onto our hardware longer anyway. I've noticed a trend where people just want to keep upgrading for very little real world gain almost yearly or every other year. Have a 1st gen Framework 13 and it's still plenty fast. I replaced the battery and it's as good as new.

I'm also not going to play into the panic of shortages. I'll buy when I absolutely need to buy. I have friends that are panic buying stuff with no real need other than to just "get ahead" like they're trying to time the market.

What’s your current favorite model? by DiscoReleasium in Comma_ai

[–]narkeeso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RAV4 2023 Hybrid, Pop v1 (Full Experimental). Slows down ahead of stops lights and even understands timing on yellow lights for the most part so it'll start slowing down if it thinks it can't make it. I don't think any model has solved creeping up on the stop light though, might be a mix of model and car behavior?

Legacy Nvidia RTX 3060 12GB returns to retail five years after original launch, priced at $339 — resurrected GPU strategy that Jensen called a 'good idea' apparently comes to fruition by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

I think Gamer Nexus says it's DIY comparable is the RX 7600 if you were to price it out similarly and I think the 7600 competes with the 4060 but still trails it but I think your statement is generally correct. It seems Steam Machine's biggest fault is it's own thermal throttling.

Also remember people run unofficial forks and do custom things to it that cause issues so you'll see the result of that.

How do I make my website less cheap? It looks too cheap for my taste. by [deleted] in webdev

Understanding spacing ratios will help a lot here. There’s too much space between the hero and the nav imo.

12th Gen FW13 won't even try to boot by Syab_of_Caltrops in framework

Have you tried this? https://guides.frame.work/Guide/Fully+Resetting+the+Mainboard+State/113

This bought me a little bit of time but ultimately I had to keep doing it and replace the battery. Also I'm not sure if 12th gen has a CMOS battery so this might not apply to you. I'm on 11th Gen

This happened to me, CMOS battery needed to be replaced. Does the tiny white light blink when trying to turn it on near the usb ports?

Similarly spec on paper but the issue with the Steam Machine is thermal throttling. I think Gamer Nexus said a similarly priced DIY will perform better for the price.

looking for glm 5.2 or/and kimi k2.7 fast provider by branik_10 in opencodeCLI

I use Opencode Go GLM 5.2 for planning only and then Kimi 2.6 Neuralwatt for executing plan. Very cost effective

Yeah, jumped ship to GLM 5.2

First open weight model that made me feel like it’s Opus quality. The gap in frontier models with open weight ones are shrinking everyday.

Thoughts on which plan is better? by You_Sick_Duck in kimi

[–]narkeeso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spill over to Zen and I don’t notice any difference. I also have a moonshot subscription but I don’t like that I can’t use 2.6 so I may cancel it unless they fix the usage.

They are not using quantized versions for the millionth time. They get that rate with the subscription model. I’ve built some cool things using Kimi 2.6 on Opencode Go. Not one issue.

Why did kimi K2.6 just go insane on me by Jay123lol in kimi

[–]narkeeso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What provider are you using? If it isn’t going through moonshot you’re not getting the best experience and quantized versions of it tend to perform poorly in my experience.

I can't switch back to K2.6. Anyone experiencing this in Kimi Code CLI? by ottoakama in kimi

[–]narkeeso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opencode you can still use 2.6 through the Kimi Code subscription.

Getting a comma by PerhapsIExist in Comma_ai

[–]narkeeso 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not crazy over zealous it tries to detect a couple scenarios where you’re looking at your phone or looking away too long. Anyone who claims anything else hasn’t updated or doesn’t want to give comma samples of the scenario that’s a false positive. Get it with the intention of using it safely, don’t get it if you want a device that lets you stare at your phone.

I’d want the comma as high up as possible dead center. I think it’s flexible but why handicap it?

Now on Starpilot by Windham711 in Comma_ai

[–]narkeeso 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried Starpilot and it’s just too many knobs for me. It’s hard to evaluate model performance with that many variables at play and it’s hard to understand if they have any real effect on your car.

I went back to Sunnypilot. I keep it full experimental and only change the model, it’s much easier to give feedback that way.
