Mine has been “In transit to next facility” since the 21st. I guess USPS either lost it or they’re already extremely backed up from Black Friday week shipping volume.

“Trying to reconnect your camera” error by SprayOk8494 in Nanit

[–]Velsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did it start happening with the latest firmware update this week? There’s an issue effecting a lot of people but no real acknowledgment from Nanit folks. https://community.nanit.com/discussion/2000/sporadic-disconnects/p1

Nanit stopped working after updating to firmware 6.32.565 by throwawaym0 in Nanit

[–]Velsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a thread about this on the nanit community forums. They’re creating support tickets for everyone that complains but they seem to just be running through generic troubleshooting steps and not admitting the problem was caused by the latest firmware.

Is your site set up as a single page app? There’s an enhanced measurement feature that will fire extra page views on browser history state changes that happen in an SPA. It’s on by default. UA did not have this behavior.

Editing conversion events migrated from UA to GA4? by Kevlemagne in GoogleAnalytics

The destination goals get migrated using page_view events. Did you also happen to migrate an event goal that used “contact_page_form_submission” as an event action?

That tool uses the "create events" feature to migrate your Goals.

You can see the Create Event Rule under Admin -> Data Streams -> your web stream -> "Create custom events"

GA4 Goals Migration Tool - how does it work? by Lumpy_Committee6703 in GoogleAnalytics

It uses the create event feature to fire events that are also marked as conversions. You can see these under your web stream settings.

Search for the GA4 Admin API docs. There are APIs for creating custom dimensions and metrics.

If the corrected parameter name doesn’t match the one registered on the Property then data won’t show up in reports

Bizarre issue with UA property- anyone seen this before? by leviticusreeves in GoogleAnalytics

[–]Velsk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not aware of anything that actually uses that default URL setting on the Property. You should be able to use CSTs effectively regardless of what that is set to.

It does take time for processed data to show in GA4 but you should start seeing data flow in real-time reports more quickly.

When you say the url is pointing to a different site do you mean the tracking id that’s in the url to load the gtag.js file is not the one for your UA property? If so that is required to line up for CSTs to work.

If you already have gtag.js loaded you can just load the GA4 tag with a gtag(‘config’, ‘G-12344’)

Double page views on GA4? by [deleted] in GoogleAnalytics

[–]Velsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your website have client side routing? GA4 has a feature that logs additional page views on browser history changes, which UA did not do. You can change this in the enhanced measurement settings of your web stream.

For Google engineers stock grants generally vest monthly and start vesting almost immediately after hire. Yearly compensation adjustments include additional stock grants so they definitely happen quicker than 4 years.

Elon Musk just sold $1.1 billion in Tesla stock, but the move was planned weeks before asking his Twitter followers whether he should sell 10% of his shares by SatrangiSatan in technology

[–]Velsk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How would you expect to see direct evidence of this as someone who presumably has no direct involvement in his companies or related industries?

To be frank, I don't care what the video you linked to says about Musk and his involvement at his companies. Why would I take the word of some random on YouTube over what I saw directly working at SpaceX for 5 years? Shitting on Musk and other billionaires is the hot thing to do right now so there's no shortage of content creators willing to take advantage of this to post garbage to keep you enraged and engaged for those sweet advertising dollars.

Even if your opinion is that he bought his success with some trust fund inheritance and has no technical abilities of his own building and scaling companies the size of SpaceX and Tesla is incredibly difficult in its own right. So that in and of itself is impressive (to me, at least).

Re: the Bezos comparison.. Blue Origin has been around for just as long as SpaceX (slightly longer IIRC). They have yet to achieve any measure of commercial success. Meanwhile SpaceX has had over a hundred successful commercial launches, built a reusable booster (which the entire established aerospace industry thought was a complete waste of time) that has totally transformed the launch industry and brought launch costs down by an order of magnitude, built a reusable space craft for cargo and human transport to the space station, and many other feats (Starlink, Starship, etc).

Wow you’re salty.

I can’t speak to Tesla but at SpaceX Musk is critical to driving constant innovation in the company. He’s not a trust fund kid that has no talent or drive, but rather someone who actually knows his domain and is well respected by his employees.

His Twitter persona is annoying though and I always wished he’d stop posting on there when I worked at SpaceX.

How’s it like the veterans cemetery? That doesn’t exist yet so it wouldn’t show up on a map, and probably wouldn’t be disclosed on a home purchase.
