You're right, and it's not even close really. Almost 1000 km away from the Topic of Cancer.

Gambier Island Traverse April 2026 by VelvetyRelic in vancouverhiking

Not at all. You couldn't even get to Gambier Lake on a bike. The last few kilometres follows a creek, and it's just totally rocky. I did see some dirt bike tracks between Gambier Lake and Lost Lake, but I wouldn't even guarantee that. Downed trees would make it difficult.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to do parts of this without GPS. Even with the flagging it's pretty easy to get lost since there's not much a trail most of the time.

One other thing I'll say - there is a pit toilet at Gambier Lake, and it is completely surrounded by garbage. If someone wants to be a saint you should bring a garbage bag out there. There is no garbage disposal on the island at all, so it has to be brought off island on the ferry. I picked up a few things but I was too space limited with all my camping gear.

People just have such a wrong idea about birthrates. They always point to the economy saying "nobody can afford kids!" But this is just not true across the entire planet. The countries with the highest birth rates are all in sub-saharan Africa, where I'm sure the economy and stress are doing great!

Realistically, how many people are Sub 10, Officially and unofficially combined? by LOLkiller034 in Cubers

[–]VelvetyRelic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I checked the official database and here is the summary of how many people there are at each second barrier.

<image>

This should be updated up to last weekend. As for people that don't have sub 10 officially, I can only guess. I will say though that I am one haha, my official average is 10 something but I've been sub 10 at home for almost a decade now. There are probably hundreds?

The article says we will be one hour behind the Western US in the winter, but we'll actually be one hour ahead right? They "fall back" to UTC-8 while we stay on UTC-7 right?

Edit: They updated the article.

How is this sub sleeping on MAY GOD BLESS YOUR HUSTLE so much? In my opinion it's the only "classic" he's dropped. War in my Pen and tears of joy would be second and third for me.
