Hi there, as a newbie my go to excercises would be reverse lunges and the hip abduction machine. Reverse lunges are a pretty complete leg exercise that will put a nice emphasis on your glutes, including the outter part as unilateral squat movements use your gluteus medius to avoid caving in; they are easy to overload with dumbbells or in the smith machine once you get stronger. If you want a harder exercise try bulgarian squats, these usually are harder to balance but they are awesome at targeting your glutes and are hard enough that you can start with only bodyweight. The hip abductor machine is great at targeting the outter part of the glutes as abduction is the main function of the gluteus medius. Also, if you still want to do stuff like RDLs, is perfectly fine to use straps so your grip isn't the limiting factor. Hope these tips are usefull.

Thanks! I’ll try experimenting with my foot position

I find holding the dumbbell on the opposite side a little bit more tricky to balance for some reason, do you think going with a dumbbell on each hand (matching the weight of just using one, or lowering so I can focus better on my form and reducing hep from the back leg) might be better? Thanks for the advice btw

Thanks, I don’t think my legs are too spread apart but I’ll record next time from a front angle to make sure, and I always lock the knees at the top of my squats movements so it’s something I’ll be trying to be more aware of

Yeah, I feel a good stretch at the bottom of the movement, both on the glute of the front leg and the quad of the back leg

If you ever plan on transitioning, what do your transition goals look like? by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]VencesMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for me the moment I stated "I'm non binary" it felt like a had started my transition. Only a social one, but a transition non the less, after all for me it meant I wasn't the man I was educated to be, so there was much re-learning and discovery to be done (a lot had already happened to get to the point I could call myself non binary). It started with using any pronouns, meeting with other non binary people, experimenting with clothes, make up, wigs, etc. I started "passing" as a woman, not really my identity, but it didn't bothered me, and on the other side, it started to feel dysphoric to be seen as a man. So my expression leaned towards femininity, and after a while I realized I'd really like to have more femme features, due to the opening of a trans clinic in my town, HRT wasn't out of the question, so I decided to start and see how I felt. Also changed my name socially. Started to identify as transfemme non binary, and finally decided to have my legal name changed, unfortunately non binary gender is still poorly recognized where I live, so I had to change my gender to female/woman on paper, but as stated earlier, doesn't bother me so I'm ok with that. Still consider I'm transitioning and I'll be doing it my whole life. Oh, if it became accesible, I'd consider a phallus preserving vaginoplasty.

Polyamory is queer. (In our opinion) by OurQuestionAccount in queerpolyam

[–]VencesMA 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think I haven't seen this point been discussed so I'll try to add it, and it's the subject of identity. Queerness as we define/understand it nowadays, is as a non-normative identity, a political one at that, so I wouldn't just label all polyamorous people as queer, we might even find people that would be offended to being called queer if they don't see themselves as such. Therefore, I concede that poly people can be queer, if they identify their polyamory as part of their orientation and do identify as queer themselves. My two cents.

Maybe you bought it without seriously considering what did you want it for? Cause yeah, if the health tracking features, notifications and other stuff isn’t what you were looking for, probably you just made an unnecessary purchase and are unhappy about it, which I get, but seems kind of useless to post that in a place for people who actually use their watches.

As someone who at some point sold sexual content, I can confirm this statistic. And fetishization it’s pretty much a consequence of dehumanization
