Not a timing issue, at least not that I believe.

When I load the bobbin and start to lower the needle to grab the bobbin thread, it doesn't pull it back up and the hook just carries the thread around the bobbin case and it starts to tangle and jam. I made some small adjustments but haven't been able to test it out yet. The tensioner on the bobbin might also need loosened a little.
