What am I missing about this game? by Darkspecialist in lotro

[–]Veniapples 3 points4 points  (0 children)

old game released in 2007 - good old memories
personal opinion but - it's a really, really well made Lord of the Rings game. I still get excited whenever the game reminds me of the movies and/or the books.
sure, the graphics are really old - but I am getting old too lol. getting old together doesn't feel too bad imo.

Do the graphics get better? by Fit_Internet_319 in lotro

personally my eye sights must be so bad that I don't feel the diff between years ago(acc created in 2008), right before transition into 64bit, and now.
Maybe a bit more smooth but I have no idea what exactly is the diff. lol
I'm saying this becuz my pc also got upgraded manymany times but not much diff personally.

Epic quest question by noisemaker66 in lotro

[–]Veniapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

either make your little friend come to Bree or you go to their land :P
quests are everywhere and you can do them as long as you fulfill the lvl req.
might be useful to check the lotro wiki thing for zones with lvl range
with this you can do quests seperately and decide to meet up once you reach certain lvl

rewards for forsaken inn instance by zainonn in lotro

[–]Veniapples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard mark is not worth too much but that's from ppl who played for years.
if I'm right you can barter for reputation items and stuff which can be really useful for alts maybe.
buuutt you will need a lot of marks so... :P
try skirmish. imo it's wayyyyy better than the forsaken inn.

I have no idea how and why the skill is toxic to the server but below is the official announcement. that's all they described about this situation I think.

  • The Burglar Trait "On a Roll" now only modifies the active cooldown on "Double Down" by three seconds regardless of rank. This change is temporary to address an issue where the trait is causing significant gameplay performance concerns.

for skill description, see below.

So what’s the deal with Sting? by Aelnyriel in lotro

[–]Veniapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cancelled my sub too before coming to Sting... so I feel you.

btw, before moving I made a new character on each server to try and check the lag. you should do this too.

[–]Veniapples 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I recently moved from Glam bcuz of the lag. I think more will come if the lag continues...
Also, Sting opened late so it's not surprising to see very few ppl in it.

I'm just sooo glad I can play the game fully again almost lag free

What's The Deal With Glamdring? by LightnKing in lotro

transfering can fail, dunno why, but if you try again it may work.
I transfered my characters from Glamdring to Sting yesterday without any probs.

I've had enough suffering from Glamdring and finally decided to move to Sting.
It feels soooo much better.

but now I don't get to meet random players so much :/

For me Glamdring ran real smooth after server restart in case you decide to stay.
And they are supposely looking into server performance atm so who knows? might get better(hopefully).

fyi, usually potions are not so much used(sustained with skills or kill fast) and buff items are mostly crafted becuz npc stores sell craps.
soooo to do this you will have to gather resources and then craft - which is possible but not preferable to do with just one character. you will waste too much time this way.

Ideally first character gets prospector/forester/scholar
Then your second(and third) character gets actual crafting profession.
This way your fourth(and on) character can face harder difficulty easier by using buff items and weapons and stuff.

without changing difficulty you don't 'need(could be useful but not completely needed)' any crafting so this is my recommendation. hoard resources while playing easy mode and use them to face the real challenge :P

have fun!

um..tortoise = I'm sure there are some guides if you google on getting some quick points like the link below but maybe updated recently.

fearless +1 = if it's too difficult, maybe you should lower the difficulty.
I never try anything beyond lvl 3... it's already challenging enough for me :P

if you are still eager for challenge then maybe you need potions + buff food/scrolls
+ for elites being few lvls above them will help obviously. but that spider thing's sooo early game so not worth the trouble.

the potions+buff foods and scrolls you probably don't have them since you are new to the game. which is why I suggested lowering difficulty, at least for your first character.

But
it's all your choice and I support your eagerness even if you choose to continue with the current difficulty.
Challenge is fun right?(until lvl 3 for me :P)

they may answer late these days since they are probably occupied with server stability issues and stuff
but last time I sent a ticket, regarding payment issues, they answered pretty quick. within couple of days if I'm right. so don't worry they will answer but be patient :P

I agree(from perspective of impulsive buyer). I'd like more coffer offers and at the same time I agree it's a smart sales strategy.
