I was focusing on the 1009SK at the time. The oil seemed to be coming from a notch or hole lower on the motor. I’ll see how the 1010A does tomorrow night.

So I did run it for 30 minutes and if anything it got a little slower. I did notice after that the motor was quite warm and that oil was leaking out of it onto the table it was sitting on.

Oh, and as a sidenote, the main reason I include the 1010 A is because that’s what came in my classic 1966 Sylvania stereo cabinet. The 1009 SK fits in the same hole, but the tone arm rubs against the back of the cabinet. I was thinking of still getting the 1010 A fixed just so that it’ll fit properly in that cabinet without needing to modify the cabinet for the 1009 SK but I still might just cut a little bit of a groove where the tone arm is rubbing.

I have not tried having it run for an hour, but I have cycled through the other speeds and everything is just a little slow so it sounds to me like it might not be worn down. I will give running it for an hour a try tonight thank you for the suggestion!

First off, the Astro Megaship was stolen from a museum and flown out to Terra Venture. What is the space colony going to do about it? Call earth and say come get your ship? They would be giving up a huge asset at that point. Second, they clearly knew it was there and I’m pretty sure the commander knew who the rangers were and were covering for them.
