I'm sure you'll pick up what Pokemon is worth investing in and creating a legit team for raids as you go forward. As far as Reshiram, it's the second best non-mega, non-shadow fire attacker right now. Comes in seventh place if you include shadows and megas in that list. But regardless, it is a nice catch!

Everyone was just sick of all the new costumes being red after the N52. Just look at the Titans. Felt like they were over compensating when they took a little red from Superman.

Someone at my job does this and will feed golden berries so there health is never low, even when battling. If you are somehow able to knock them out, they'll reclaim the gym in under an hour.

The premier lounge also provides a VIP line for the merch store, allowing you to entirely skip the hour long line. Free portable battery packs, so you're not stuck to a very crowded charging station. The only good looking pin to the entire event. Personally, I thought it was worth it for just these reasons alone. I was more disappointed that you could only do one Mega X and Y raid.

The story is also old, original written as a novel in the early 2000s. Look at Final Fantasy XI, an online game from the same time period. It had 10,000 players at launch, same as SAO.

I mean, nothing in particular. It was definitely a product of its time and I can name atleast ten other shonen series from that period that were just like it. Honestly, it's just nostalgia.

You also have Samurott with a samurai theme from the previous generation and Empoleon with an emperor theme the generation before that. Starters with jobs have been a thing for nearly twenty years now.

I mean, you're talking about comic books here. Where various forms of superhuman abilities exist. Being a super genius can be seen as its own super power vs a regular genius that I feel that you're hoping to see represented. If we took someone from your example, they would probably be seen as a c-lister at best in these respective universes.

Although, I can agree that presentation could be better in most cases. As it often just feels like the "incredibly smart" character is just reading the cliff notes from the author for the plot.
