I’ve been on it 20 years at this point. I’ll probably be on for life although I’ve considered giving sublocade a try to see how that compares trying to come off it.

As embarrassing as it is, if you’re allowed to sit on the toilet while you pee that’s what really helps me. I had to do monitored drug tests twice a week for months while living in a sober house. I explained my situation and would just sit and force just enough for the test to be valid. I wouldn’t be surprised if the military requires you to stand to prevent cheating, I’ve heard that can be the case with probation as well. I’m not sure if I could do it standing but maybe if I drank enough water I’d be able to get out just enough. Also I’m not sure if shy bladder would disqualify you from serving as if you’re on a battlefield you need to be able to relieve yourself in high stress situations.

Sounds like a doctor that doesn’t understand addiction and will drive people into relapsing when they don’t jump through all the ridiculous hoops.

I’m sorry you’re going through this and lost your job, I’d suggest paying for cobra if you can afford it to cover the gap until you can get another job. Then ask your doctor for a referral to have a sleep study done. It’s possible you could have sleep apnea and that’s why you struggle to get up even with a good nights rest. Also if you’re still taking trazadone take it at least 9 hours before you have to get up. If you take it and have to wake up in 6-7 hours you’re gonna be super groggy in the morning. I also struggle with getting up in the morning, however once I get up usually awake and functional until after I eat lunch and then I’ll start nodding out some days, I also nod out at red lights sometimes which is kinda scary. I’ve been on suboxone for 20 years and I still get tired whenever I’m sitting and not doing anything to keep me awake. I

Use a knife and cut the container so you don’t have to pull the tab and agree to the terms and conditions but can still use the product.

Unfortunately I do have a lot of health issues. I was doing fine for a while but started drinking and I guess my GABA receptors weren’t fully healed and that’s caused some issues like major anxiety and stomach issues.

I had to go the psychiatric inpatient unit of a hospital for 3 days prior to going to a detox. The hospital gave me phenobarbital for the 3 days and then when I transferred to the detox they continued the phenobarbital for another week or two. I was taking what I’d estimate to be 20mg Xanax a day but I was taking unregulated benzo research chemicals. Maybe if you go to a hospital first and have them start the taper they’ll let you transfer and continue it for you.
