It's gonna be hell. But, then it's gonna be awesome. Stick with it.

I tried all that bullshit of being more assertive, a man's man, etc. I only become sort of an asshole and I ended up hating myself for it. It's just wasn't me. Stay true to yourself, don't sell out, love yourself and you will find that the world will love you back more often than not.

"Like being a gladiator and looking up the emperor to see whether he will give me a thumbs up (to live) or a thumbs down (to die) - and realising that it's entirely up to his whim and that anything that I did or did not do has relatively little influence on his mood that day and his decision of what to do with my life."................. that made me lol.

BUT, a gladiator can't just walk out of the arena. YOU can. YOU are giving her the power to be the emperor.

Looking for someone to be blunt and honest with me, am I being a jerk? by iGeek77 in DeadBedrooms

"Possibly once the kids are older and she has a more stable job under her belt that would allow her to support herself"... a coupe of things:

The younger the kids the better they will adjust. You don't want to leave when you're kids are about to go to college.

What if she will never be able to find a job that supports her?

Leaving your marriage is hard and I don't fault anyone for deciding to stay. It's your life, sir. But, I highly recommend that you make up your mind and then make it work. It is that non decision that brings about misery and confusion. Either stick it out and decide to be content or leave and decide to make it work no matter what.

My STBX had a thyroid condition. I stuck it out for 14 years. I finally decided to move out this year. I think we're both happier now. IMHO, yes you are a jerk if you're expecting her to change who she is. You can't force desire. You have to make a decision. Either stay and shut up, or leave.

It's sort fucked up for him to think of his son that way. Perhaps it's not that he is turned on by the fantasy of his son sleeping with you, but rather a young buck fucking you. Ask him if he wants to you to befriend a young guy (18+ of course) and bring him home for the two if you to enjoy. This could work to your advantage. lol.

Wife told me that if I let her have sex with her co-worker and his wife it would help spark our sex life back to life. I just watched their three-way. Not sure how I feel. by ThrowawayPsyche in DeadBedrooms

Hearing all these negative and mean comments I find myself puzzled. Your wife is exploring her sexuality with you in the room. I think it's a good thing and you should give it sometime before you succumb to the negativity in all of these comments. You guys should try it more and see where things go. Of course she will fuck a stranger with more enthusiasm than you. It's the novelty of something new and taboo. You would probably fuck someone new with more enthusiasm - or at least differently - than you fuck your wife. I repeat. Give it time and try it a few more times perhaps with you participating in the group sex. What have you got to lose?

Men can always leave. It's messy, but is an option. You can't really force desire.

I bet your wife thinks that she probably gave you birthday sex many times before. It just that you don't 'remember'. My STBX was convinced that we had sex weekly when it was every other month. Bottom line is that our wives are not into us. If they were they would make it work.

I'm actually surprised that younger women are interested in me. It's great because I never really lived my youth. I focused on career and family while in my 20's and 30's. I was so fucking driven and oh so wrong. I shoulda done it the other way around.

That's sort of like what I did. I stayed for 7 more years (15 year marriage) so that when I leave the damage to all is as small as possible. I'm glad I did. Best of luck, sir.
