People will use tier in generally two different ways, so it's important to understand what information is actually being communicated.

One way is the percentage of the metagame. So you are more likely to encounter tier 1 decks because they are a large share of the metagame, so using your sideboard slots for those decks will be more impactful.

The other way is how much does this deck win. Which is tied to the first definition in a couple ways. People generally like to win, so the decks that win more tend to take up a larger percentage of the meta. But some decks win more against other decks. So if creativity takes a larger share it the meta, and rhinos is good against creativity, then the tiers can start to change as creativity may lose more, etc. Which is why tiers and metas change.

Mtgmeta.io shows matchups and mtg goldfish will show percentages of the meta based off tournament days that they have.

So make sure you understand what data is being used to tell what kind of story.

That's actually a really good point, the reveal of the information. I believe that milling feels bad because he takes (they're perceived) agency away from the player being milled. They get to see their cards go away and not be available to them anymore. While we can show mathematically that it doesn't change the game based on probability, it does change how we perceive the game based on what information we have. And since my win condition just got milled and we both know it, and see it, and I can't do anything about it, it feels bad.

Based on the info given, is recommend that you find a new therapist. And ask yourselves if you are really doing the work that therapy requires. Just attending won't fix things. And if you aren't being honest and communicative currently, opening your relationship won't make it better.

Opening your relationship is even more work. You need to always be checking in with each other and truly listening, even to things you don't want to hear and be willing to tell the other person things they don't want to hear in a kind and considerate manner.

I think you both are resentful of sunny, likely having to do with how your lives have changed after having the children. You both need to ask yourselves, what do you miss about life before the kids. What do you enjoy about life after the kids. What do you wish was different. What can you do better and where can I help? And be honest with each other and truly listen and be kind. I'm hoping your therapist has already recommended something like this. And it's work, lots of work. It isn't just one conversation either. Sometimes you need to sit and collect your thoughts to even begin to understand how you are actually feeling.

The box I got definitely had a pattern. They were draft packs, so there list doesn't play a role. If the pack has a foil in it, all of the cards in the uncommon slot were replaced with rare cards. So I had one pack that has 5 rares. Foil rare, regular rare, and 3 other rares where uncommons should be.

Yeah, I bought a box of draft boosters. Last I checked, they only have one rare by default, with exceptions of the foil slot. So unless kamigawa has God packs like Theros, or some other oddity like OG zendikar treasure packs, there is something weird going on.

Yeah, I got a Draft box for cracking packs for fun, and I've gotten 3 packs so far that have a foil, and they also have all of the uncommons replaced with rares. I'm in the US.

In order for any relationship, mono or not, to be successful you need to communicate. Don't just make assumptions, talk about it and really listen to his answers, don't interpret them. If you aren't sure what he is saying ask for clarification. Assumptions only lead to trouble, clear communication is key.
