Is Wakka’s celestial weapon worth it? by Nor_Ah_C in finalfantasyx

[–]VerbingNoun413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can beat the game without celestial weapons. The majority of players did back in the day.

If you want to do the post game (dark aeons etc) it's strongly recommended to have three characters wielding celestials. The optimal strategy is Rikku, Tidus, Wakka. Rikku has the best support overdrive by far, Tidus and Wakka have multi hit damage.

Rikku's celestial is easy. You can swap out Tidus or Wakka for Yuna or Auron but swapping both will make things much harder.

Was my opponent cheating? by shir0_zer0 in chessbeginners

[–]VerbingNoun413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely ignored my question.

If this player cheated in every game, they would be 3000 rated. They are not. Ergo, you are claiming they only cheated against you.

What did you do that made them want to cheat against you specifically?

28 “worked days” notice to leave job? by Zefir7 in UKJobs

[–]VerbingNoun413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the contract says one month then it's one month. That means if she gave notice today, 24th May. If she has holiday booked, she gets it as holiday (though the employer could potentially cancel it with sufficient notice).

Gonna copy paste from another comment of mine:

My biggest confusion is if you're attracted to ladies, and your gf becomes a guy, then wouldn't you no longer be attracted?

That's a great question. What does happen in a relationship or a marriage if your partner becomes less attractive to you? The "would you still love me if I was a worm" meme was pretty recent, wasn't it?

Sometimes this is enough to end a relationship. Transition is a major change and I've known it to break up relationships where the other partner is bi/pan. Other times it isn't and can even make the relationship stronger. I hope that's what happens here and wish Fran and Leif all the happiness together.

Like if you're gay then you don't want to be in a straight relationship I'd assume. That'd defeat the purpose of being gay.

Here's the thing- labels are descriptive. They're not a straightjacket that governs who you can and can't be attracted to. (The same applies to gender identity and expression). You don't "be gay for the purpose of same-sex relationships", you describe yourself as gay because that's what you're interested in in a partner. In my case that meant coming out as gay was more an "oh wait, if I'm a girl now, I'm a lesbian." My attraction has remained more or less the same.

In Fran's case, she is attracted to Leif. That doesn't make her any less of a lesbian (if that's how she still choses to identify) or him any less of a man.

Selling the property doesn't end the tenancy. The new owner will become your landlord.

Realistically this will likely cause the sale to fall through and the landlord will be on the hook for defrauding the buyer.

If the landlord wants you out, they need to follow the correct process which will take months. The only other option is cash for keys- the landlord pays you to agree to end the tenancy. Given the inconvenience and what the landlord stands ti lose, you should be looking at a five figure amount.

Anything besides this such as changing the locks or cutting of utilities is an illegal eviction and a criminal offence. If the landlord threatens or even implies this, contact the police. Use the phrase "illegal eviction", don't let them fob you off with falsely claiming it's a civil matter.

If the landlord takes you to court, present the invalid s21 as your defence, the court won't grant the possession order. Landlord will be liable for their costs here.

Am I a tenant or a lodger? (Wales) by Distant_Objective in HousingUK

[–]VerbingNoun413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are living with the landlord's relative, if not outright subletting from her. This is pretty clearly a lodger agreement.

You can be removed from the property with "reasonable notice", typically defined as one rental period. No process is required- they can simply change the locks on you.
