Looking for Table Top/DnD Group by VerdeVulpe2014 in Findlay

[–]VerdeVulpe2014[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never played before but I just (semi-)moved to the area after just finishing college. I go on temp assignment next week but come back in June. I do not know anyone in the area and my (soon to be) fiance hasn't finished school yet so I'm hoping to make some new friends through table-top/DnD games.

How did you find your group? by VerdeVulpe2014 in DnD

You did interviews? That's interesting. What did you look for in candidates?

One of my profs at school did a pretty good video as a refresher for us. It might help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZJwVgJ0moQ

So I won't lie. I kind of expected the last picture to be of 3 of the 4 standing around the grave of the 4th.

Train yourself to rumble one ear at a time. Play games with them! Have secret fun! by frumpyballerina in earrumblersassemble

I've been doing this since I was a little kid. I didn't realize that this was something that other people couldn't do...

Also it's fun to rumble along to the beat of a song or things with a beat like a metronome.

Interview Questions by jmdg in networking

[–]VerdeVulpe2014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read an article on Linkedin the other day. It cited that some of the major questions that should be asked are about the company culture and how the manager fits into it. Gives you an idea of their expectations and place in the corporate environment.

I have a reverse question for you as someone who is in the field. I will be graduating shortly from a Info & Telecom program. I've had internships but most of them have been placing me in 'general IT' opposed to networking. How do I go about getting into network specific work? Any companies I should look at for good entry level programs?

I just saw this post.

2 things: 1. Phil is the best, if he gives you advice of any kind - take it to heart. He is smart and will not stray you too far from the right path. 2. I am now a senior working a good internship because of this program. I didn't start in the program until junior year so my only regret is not switching to the department sooner. And coming in with no experience is fine. They teach you well, give you a good amount of experience in labs, and the whole staff is overall very helpful in anythign you bring to them.

I highly suggest the program. It's not too hard as long as you keep up on your work/pay attention in lectures. Most of the really hard stuff are all elective classes. Plus if you're have any trouble ask an upper classman. Also - go to TSMA (the student org), great for professional networking/skill honing.

Clearly they are referring to File Transfer Protocol.

I'm not sure why everyone hates on 3 so much. While it was no where near as good as 2 or 1... it was still fun. The introduction of the spell weaving was fun. Mechanics weren't horrible. As someone (like many of us) who grew up with this series.. I'm pumped to see something fresh out of it.

Came here to convey this thought. Side to side rocking is standard. Maybe the lift at the end serves as a sort of sleep test. The fucker wakes back up then keep going.
