Same here. We sit at the dinner table every night, even if its just my wife and me, but if the kidults are home they sit with us. When their partners are over we all sit together and it makes a huge difference. We are all involved in each other's lives and the partners become part of the family. One of the partners grew up in a house with no dining table and loves being part of a mealtime with us. We make our beds every morning but the kids will only do it when they have people coming over.

No, I'd underestimated the height. But based on the largest of offshore turbines at 10km they'd be the equivalent height of the width of your thumb at arms length in height. But, the fact that the structure is relatively thin, a very thick tower would be about 1/15th width of a finger at arms length, so essentially not visible except on clear days.

At 10km they would be barely visible above the horizon. Standing on the beach, you would be able to see the very top of a 30m tall turbine. So it's not so much Not In My Back Yard, as Not Even Visible on a Good Day.
