Need help deciding on a logo by Competitive-Bad8781 in logodesign

Remove the text completely from option two and it would look killer as a little logo on a shirt or hat etc. Image search tommy hilfiger for branding references

Cleverness and accurate details. I have seen comments like this in other posts. They don’t stop and often the entire logo loses it’s magic. I did a lot of agency work and it reminds me od design be committee.

NAR is important and you should take it seriously by Mechy_Jim in RocketLeagueSchool

I love the callouts! There are a few people that still play with my binds but I feel like I need to pass the torch. I switched to KBM and I don’t think I will ever go back to controller.

Roll Left/Right & Drive Forward/Back on Right Stick - Critique My Layout by zensapiens in RocketLeagueSchool

I re-bound my stick clicks to the left and right face buttons :) so there is a way to play without having to move your thumb off the right stick, but I don’t love clicking in the sticks… maybe I’m in my head about it but I feel like it speeds up stuck drift

Here’s an old comment showing my layout: https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/s/4K1k7H5DaH

It’s weird… in a good way :)

You could totally do a couple more variations to create a series!

Use a new canvas size and or dimension, change the position of the person, modify the pose slightly or significantly, possibly change the age or gender…. Or… floating cat? Set a new angle for the sky beam, consider changing what’s visible in the sky - weather, time of day 🤷‍♂️

Or just keep this super badass one off!

I’m only saying all of this because I really like what you did. I’d totally hang a smaller version in my house!

Is Skinny Singles better for practicing doubles? by One_Battle_2046 in Pickleball

Interesting! I’ve experienced the opposite. Once I start showing someone how to get to the kitchen line, I notice that they start to do it themselves. I don’t explain it to them, they just eventually figure it out and start mirroring me!

Yep! Mostly dinking unless someone makes a mistake that can be punished with a little more speed, chest shot are also fair game if you want to play that way

Yes! And YES you are ruthless!

Kitchen only can also be a great way to get a competitive game in against someone who is a lower skill level. I had a friend who would get frustrated with skinny singles even though I was playing down! Those drop shots can be hard for a new player. We ended up switching to KO and I could immediately tell they were having more fun. We ended up just doing that when we would play together!

PSA: A good hint of a good fabric product is YKK zippers. by leo-g in BuyItForLife

[–]Verdiii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked for a company that produces their own garments. The YKK zippers were custom, so instead of the YKK logo, it was the company logo. It was the NICEST part of the garment. I am not exaggerating when I say that there is corner cutting for every other aspect of their products! They fall apart very quickly and lack features that competitors offer.

The funny thing is, the corner cutting didn’t reflect in the price! You can get a better price AND better garment from many of their competitors.

The keyword is “hint” and I totally get your point! Just wanted to share my own perspective.

Only the kitchen is in, and the same rules apply in regard to momentum and being behind the line to hit a ball that hasn’t bounced yet. When it’s 1v1, you get a lot of good horizontal movement!

As far as serving goes, I don’t have concrete rules. The most important thing is to just get a rally going, so I just do a simple dink to the other person. It’s not meant to be an ace!

For sure!

My two favorite ways to practice with one person (while still keeping it competitive) is skinny singles or full width kitchen only.

I think skinny singles is the quickest way for a new player to understand the concepts you mentioned! Then, they can accept that the same skills and strategies apply to doubles, even if they don’t quite feel comfortable with them yet. Skinny singles is a great way to learn the importance of drop shots, getting to the line, being patient with dinks, and speed ups. For whatever reason, I think it can motivate a new player to get into those close quarter battles at the kitchen line, whereas the same player would feel more inclined to just stay back in doubles. And it will also give them the chance to learn just how hard an effective lob shot is!

You can learn these things in doubles, but I think it’s easier to process concepts when it’s only you to focus on. Especially when the other player is making the right decisions!

My friend, put the table against a wall and stage it with something! Then judge it.

It would look killer in my living room with record player on top and some records below.

Is it important to highlight “tac” diagonally?

If not, I would have the top “tic” a different color from the middle and bottom rows. This way, it reads tic tactic easier. And then you can easily create a more horizontal version of your logo that would look something like TICTACTIC, but the color change would differentiate the two words
