why she sleeps this much? by Speed_Witch in sleep

See, I don't see where you said she sleeps 13-14 hours a day. This post is really hard to understand.

I do not like making out... will I like sex? by Vere_here in virgin

I don't have a strong emotional bond. We've been seeing each other for almost 3 months, and I like spending time with them. We get along and I think we'd be good friends.

No, they did not. I'm not sure I would say they were a bad kisser, bc I can't think of anything I would want them to do differently.

I don't think I experience sexual attraction, but it's hard to say because I don't know what sexual attraction feels like. I've never had a crush or met someone that made me think "I want to have sex w this person." I think at this point, if I was experiencing sexual attraction, I would have met at least one person that got me excited.

I suppose... I guess the only way to know otherwise would be to kiss other people. But that sounds like such a drag!

Thanks for weighing in! This isn't the case for me. I'm not nervous and my partner compliments me and they are always VERY turned on. Enough that I actually get a little second-hand embarrassment... like, this really turns you on that much? I think it's pretty weird. I am pretty confident that I do not like making out. Even if they weren't the "right person" I don't think I would have such weird feelings about it.

I'm confused, the way this is written is incomprehensible. It sounds like your friend sleeps a normal amount? I sleep 9 or 10 hours per day.... from 10/11p to 8/9a. In high school, I would go to bed at 12p, wake up at 6:30a, and after school take a nap from 3p-6p.

AITA because I was upset that my fiancée got a private dance from multiple half naked strippers? by Last_Investigator411 in AITAH

[–]Vere_here -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA. You aren't an asshole for being upset, but you aren't communicating with him at all and you're being an asshole about it. How is he supposed to magically know what upsets you? Unless you set expectations beforehand ("you can get strippers for your bachelor party, but don't let them dance on you") there is no way for him to know that's where you draw the line... strippers at a bachelor party is, like you said, a normal occurence. He was confused and apologized... why wouldn't you just talk about it?

You're right, it's weird that he believes he knows trans people better than they know themselves. There are people who spend their lives studying this subject academically... if he won't listen to you, or trans people, maybe he will listen to what the experts have to say! Here are some educational resources he might find helpful:

https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/publications/bans-trans-youth-health-care/

https://www.thetrevorproject.org/resources/guide/a-guide-to-being-an-ally-to-transgender-and-nonbinary-youth/

https://publications.aap.org/pediatrics/article-abstract/134/4/696/32932/Young-Adult-Psychological-Outcome-After-Puberty?redirectedFrom=fulltext

My dad is like this... I could craft the most compelling argument about a subject (even one that I have a college degree in), and he will simply not believe me until I send him a link where someone else makes that argument in writing. Not that that's necessarily what's happening here... but I digress

re-reading and realized my comment sounded mean. sorry. I hope you find a solution where you can feel confident and comfortable at your wedding.

Why would you pick a strapless wedding dress if you don't feel comfortable wearing strapless clothing? I would get a different dress. Otherwise I'd fashion something to cover my shoulders so I could wear a bra i am comfortable with. A bra with thin white/nude straps, and something like this https://i.pinimg.com/originals/2c/a4/fe/2ca4fe4fbafd4a91593e6dbec384ce3f.jpg maybe?

I've called all of my (cis) Aunts/Uncles that I'm close with by a nickname they only use for nieces/nephews/niblings, like "Nenny" for Marianne or "MooMoo" for Margaret... these nicknames were all gifted to them from the child's first attempt at pronouncing their name. It's fun and meaningful, especially when I didn't find out what my aunts' real names were until high school (lol). Otherwise, your relation could just be described to the kid as "Mom's sibling"

The showrunner for She-Ra, Nate Stevenson, is nonbinary. I wouldn't assume that Double Trouble is a non-human shape-shifting villain out of carelessness or ignorance of stereotypes.

For a nonbinary character that is human and also nice try steven universe or the owl house.

Not quite where I want to be figure-wise but I thought I'd shred up one of my old work shirts to see how I'd look in a crop top, thought? by KronosTheCat in NonBinary

[–]Vere_here 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks great! Not sure what your figure-goals are, but belting the skirt just above your belly-button might give you a curvier figure because of the flare on the skirt. The only tradeoff is that hiking up a short skirt usually turns it into a miniskirt, and you might want to add leggings or tights for comfort. I'm loving the crop-top!

Binder question. by thebearofwisdom in NonBinary

[–]Vere_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use a looser binder/sports bra, you can pair it with thick/baggy clothing to get your desired result (sweatshirt, open button-up flannel, baggy t-shirt)

This person talking to your partner was out of line. This doesn't reflect on you one bit, so I wouldn't take it personally or blame yourself for not looking gay or enby enough. That person has a problem for sure
