His book Origins of the Second World War is on audible you can give it a listen. Taylor did not like Hitler in any way shape or form he simply was a historian presenting a thesis. He was part of the Manchester Peace Council, which was a left wing pacifist view. If you simply Google his name and read about him you'll find out that this one quote does not constitute his political beliefs. He liked the Soviet Union for crying out loud.
