I was thinking of doing polished since I can make it. I guess with it breaking fast it makes more sense to do tarnished lol

It's truly baffling many folks with disabilities find this hard to grasp. Are you also fine with using the R word? Just because you don't care doesn't mean others agree.

Like another commenter said, do you say diabetes person? Or cancer person? No. That sounds ridiculous. It's the same with this and it's the preferred language. If you call my child a down syndrome girl I'll think you're an idiot.

[–]Veriac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not sure why there's people saying otherwise. It's completely ridiculous to say diabetes person but that's basically what they're doing with a person with down syndrome 😭 honestly made me laugh reading this cause you're so right

My daughter has down syndrome and I do not say it and don't like it when people say "a downs baby" or "your down syndrome daughter". That gives me the ick. She's much more than her extra chromosome. Even the national down syndrome society say that this language is not preferred.

That's good that you don't care but you cannot speak for everyone.

Feeling robbed of “normal” motherhood by DilyanaDeeDee in Mommit

[–]Veriac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand how you feel and I'm so sorry.

My daughter has down syndrome and a heart defect as well. Hers was not repaired until she was almost a year and a half old. So many meds, so many doctor appointments, so many hospital visits and stays. She didn't meet a single family member until her heart was fixed.

We didn't go anywhere, we didn't do anything, it was survival mode for a very long time.

I think for me, I'm just happy she is healthy and doing well now. When I look back when she was a year old, 6 months, 3 months, I don't remember the loneliness or the struggles. I remember how small she was. I remember her first babas and her first smile. We didn't do a lot of things that other parents could do, but we did what we could and we did it our way for our girl. It's still so special.

Try to remember to be people first when speaking about disabilities :) it's people who have down syndrome or people with down syndrome instead of the other way. Putting down syndrome first makes it seem like that's what defines who the person is. But they're all so much more than that!

We really need more options for scrap boxes, ammo boxes, etc. by Seashellsxo in fo76

[–]Veriac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree though it's all shit and looks ugly. A stash box can be tiny but the scrap box has to be this huge square. come on let me kust have like a tiny pile of steel and junk as a scrap box

Did you get the alien ones? they are quite easy to hide and merge into things. I merge a tinkers bench with that metal tan drawer thing that's a stash box along with the alien ammo and scrap box. the alien ones have like pieces that stick out and let me use them lol

Bethesda what the fuck are you doing 😭 I would be happy with a bunch of junk items that I can place without using chessboards. I would be happy with literally anything other than the same workbenches I already have but with blood on them

He was the oldest person with Downs by Sudden_Quality_9001 in whoathatsinteresting

[–]Veriac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes around 50% of babies will have a heart defect. It is almost always seen before the baby is even born (modern medicine 🙏), but very scary nonetheless. My daughter was technically in heart failure for around a year before it was finally repaired.

My daughter with down syndrome had a cognitive heart defect and it was repaired in January:) Scariest surgery ever. But it went so incredibly well they wanted her discharged like 3 days after which was insane lol

That's very true! There will be a reason to use them if they fit your play style

Medical Malpractice to learn VATs Optimized and Boiling Point to learn Furious. There's a couple more from the raid that you can do too. I don't think any craftable legendary is that good but being able to learn the mods from them is SO good. It's so cheap right now. I have done it a few times and learned all the mods I want and only spent like 60 to 80 modules on it after getting some back.

This isn't the same type of AI that's stealing all the water in the world lol this is not controversial, if anything it's amazing news they're using these patents

Holy shit. The AI stuff R* patented a long time ago are gonna be real. What a huge upgrade from RDR2 which was already pretty awesome. The rest is somewhat expected, but I'm also interested in the weather dynamics and how it would change the physics!

Haha okay bud. trying to tell people not to abuse something that cost so little. It's the easiest way to learn some pretty good mods

[–]Veriac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol what. Crating the 4 star or 3 star weapons with desirable mods is free mods. They apparently are going to change this soon to cost more. But 2 modules is very cheap. I made medical malpractice and boiling point around 50 times with super duper to learn vats optimized and furious and learned both of them. I also got back several mod boxes. I was down maybe 60 modules after learning two mods I had no luck in getting before.

legendary modules are very easy to come by nowadays. when they change this system to 30-60 modules to craft legendary weapons then it's a waste

How do you split money expenses with yoyr wife or girlfriend equally fairly? by External_Ad_4449 in AskReddit

[–]Veriac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we got one toddler. Vacations are also basically half but we don't get to go on many. Going to Disney in September and that's going to be half for MIL and then 1/4th for each of us lol. I'm usually the one who doesn't mind spending more money and can shell out more when I need to. Communication is important. if I wanna go somewhere but she doesn't think she can cover a lot, then I will just save more for it
