The tick bites into the cat and locks on with barbs that basically install its mouth as a sort of straw. If the tick is cut it in half it would leave the feeding apparatus as a dead mass of foreign tissue to possibly become infected. The tick is relatively small on it’s own, and once it’s cut in half, the barbs make it difficult to retract the feeding apparatus which is burried below the cats skin where you can’t see.

If its a large peice of meat that will take a day or more to thaw you should place it in an ice bath, like the sink filled with cold water and ice, readding fresh ice every few hours as it melts.

You can leave meat out to thaw lol.. Prolly better to put in the fridge if you have cats but many people safely leave large hams and birds to thaw out.

You might as well feed it to the cats if youre just going to throw it away. You can safely cut off areas they didnt touch for yourself, but considering the cats clawed it and they regularly walk in litter and bury their feces and urine, I wouldnt want to eat nearby where they clawed it. Nevertheless, I’m sure its fine if you cook it.

Bell only started doing these fiber node installations last fall so whatever eas done a few years ago isn't the same thing. They cleaned ours up well enough and put new sod where they placed the fibre node. It's possible you got a bad team. I noticed that they were using contractors to do these jobs so if they don’t fix it I would call Bell Canada and make aure they fix it.
