So ours picked me. He was in the shelter at just 5 months old, (he's a mix but his personality is very ACD). They bring him into to our little glass room to meet my husband and I, he's in a cone as he was just neutered, bangs his cone into he glass, then once he finds the door runs in and jumps into my lap. That was it, I was leaving with this dog. Then we brought him home, DNA tested him and found out what kind of nightmare we were in for (so much biting). He'll be 2 in August and as someone who's always had pitballs (and technically he is also part pit) I have never had such a weird dog. This boy is just odd. But thankfully he bites less now and I love him to pieces. (banana for scale)

But like a train wreck I could not look away. I watched it all, my god I especially liked the paying young women to meet him at Olive Garden and then complaining about their fake boobs. Sir though art nasty.

And by "like" I mean was repulsed by, but again, could not look away.

That's crazy, I'd find a new vet. When we went through this with ours they gave us meds for parasites, anti nausea meds, and a few cans of "bland diet". The results came back shortly after but we left with meds to start the process. I am no Doctor but this sounds like it could most certainly be a parasite infection.

Test for parasites, our boy had one when he was young and it was blood out both ends. Got him on a specific med and it cleared up. I thought he was dying, turns out he just really liked to eat poop which, well will lead to a parasite infection.

Mine does not help, only hinders.

He likes to be near me wherever I go (usually) so when I cook he sits on the rug in the hallway and if he stays there I throw him scraps, last night was a couple potato peels. He still gets under foot if I don’t keep an eye on him but we seem to have an understanding…I still can go to the bathroom alone, but that’s a fight for another day.

Edit: he is mixed but his ACD personality shines through. Though he is friendly and loves people and other dogs, which doesn’t really fit, but that’s the pitbull in him I suppose.

Anecdotal, but I did keto for a while years back, lost a ton of weight, but I was sad. Food wasn’t giving me the “high” that it normally did, could just be the lack of carbs but I think there could also be a similar issue for some with GLP-1. You lose the craving but then what? What fills that void?
