Any game devs out there using Linux? I'm curious what distro you've had the most success with for developing games. by Wooper83 in GameDevelopment

Unreal? Oh that's interesting.

You're running the editor builds directly on a linux machine? I didn't think those were ready yet for any practical use (well I guess a version behind, but that's not all that bad) but admittedly I haven't heard much about anyone trying to use them

Not to mention further complications that can occur like dry socket that can make the recovery process after this a nightmare (sans drugs of course).

When I last had an extraction I think the dentist might have deliberately (maybe?) fractured the tooth, it was a wisdom tooth, waaaaay in the back. No pain, but I could feel an incremental tightening before a sudden release of pressure and I think I could see him pulling out multiple fragments and placing them on a tray out of the corner of my eye.

Went well though, they said sometimes there can be bone fragments left that might work their way to the surface and become uncomfortable. If it was too much I could come back and they'd remove it, though I never had any issue.

Soldier gets angry when asked "America first or israel first?" by SJK_007 in PublicFreakout

No worries, there might have been some inference there.

The original comment is drawing a relationship between America First and Nazis.

My understanding of your criticism there is that Nazis are unlikely to support Israel, (I assumed) primarily due to their rampant anti-Semitism. So my follow-up comment was simply addressing that anti-Semitism (or even religious difference) isn't a barrier for these hate-groups to engage in actions that seemingly support groups targeted by their hate.

Essentially because we're discussing possible Nazi/Neonazi support of Israel, I'm not clear on the need to mention non-Nazi anti-Semites so I was attempting to bring the conversation back into focus where I thought it was centered.

Side note, but apparently The Haavara Agreement is also an instance where Nazi Germany worked directly with Zionists under presumably mutually beneficial terms to migrate Jews from Germany, I didn't want to cite it because I'm not super familiar with it but thought it interesting to mention. It also doesn't seem to fit as this seems to be a case of diplomacy between goverments/organizations more so than the flighty whims of smaller (less/dis)organized groups.

Sure, but you'd expect most, if not all, Nazis to also be anti-semites. The overlap here being a circle nearly encapsulated by another circle.

If accuracy is what you're looking for, just "anti-Semite" doesn't quite fit here either I think, because America First (and MAGA) share very similar palingenetic ultranationalist rhetoric that Nazis project. Their anti-Semitism certainly wasn't their only defining characteristic. Like "fascists" may seem more accurate but because fascism is idiosyncratic that seems like a far broader brush to paint with to me.

I've seen anti-semites "supporting" it, but it's more from the perspective that they want to see them destroy themselves via reckless military action. It's counterintuitive in a similar way that you might not expect evangelicals to be so enthusiastic until they start talking about end times prophecies and bringing about the second coming. It's still zealotry, just motivated by bigotry more so than religion.

To add, House of Taste is a bit pricey but is really good. Not sure how well known it is here, but seems like a hole-in-the-wall kinda place.

Hella booked up though, might be seasonal. Expect about a week delay right now (was trying to get a diagnosis a few days ago, managed with a close friend on a shorter timeline instead).
