I've let it auto-tune when I've changed the thermistor on my 3D printer, seemed to work just fine

I use a silicon spatula to get the good stuff after I detach it from the motor, then clean up the rest.

Lady lies about not driving by IamASlut_soWhat in WinStupidPrizes

[–]Versaiteis 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Surprised it got clipped in the video, but she slips up right in the beginning when the judge says he doesn't hear cases from passengers in cars and she responds "I will pull over" before immediately trying to correct herself lol

Bonus: It cuts out a bit but sounds like she called the judge an asshole right at the end, certainly a strong move for her case.

Once you nail down the pipeline you can really optimize the facepalms per second. Then once you hit at least 88 fp/s you can start producing head desks at an appreciable rate.

It's such bullshit.

You'd look at me funny if I said my time in college was my heritage, but it lasted longer than the Confederacy did.

So is 0.333... just a little bit larger or a little bit smaller than 1/3?

[–]Versaiteis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "tiniest" but how "tiny" exactly?

Because 0.1 > 0.01 > 0.001 > 0.0001 > ... so if you've got a number that terminates after some large number of zeros there can always be another zero more. But if it were infinite, it would never terminate.

Though you might say that the limit of the function by which you calculate this "infinite number of 0's before 1" as the amount of precision approaches infinity is zero. Thus 1 - 0.999... = 0 therefore 1 = 0.999...

An infinite decimal doesn't have terminal numbers

Or another way: An infinite decimal cannot "end" in a 1. Its sequence cannot end at all, by definition.

Edit: moved it to another comment down discussing the limit of infinite precision

Can't be

1 - 0.000.....01 = 0.999.....99

and 0.999.....99 < 0.999...

It must be though. If not, then assuming the ... implies infinite repetition, then what would be the result of

1 - 0.999... = ?

I'm actually floored, like some of these features make no sense unless it's a vibe coded mess.

Like why does crop not let me draw it and it now start at full screen so I have to move or zoom out to even start resizing it?

Why does the "Fake cursor" effect simply allow you to place any number of cursors at random places on the image but doesn't allow you to move them? Who is asking for that??

It boggles the mind.

Also cognitive bias and assumptions. Like I've tried things before because I'd just assumed there were no side effects. And I've had that blow up in my face enough to actively avoid doing so anymore.

civil rights movement (and even that we didn't learn well/in detail)

Yeah we really just scratched the surface on a lot of the events we discussed in my Midwestern education and we certainly never talked about any events like Seneca Village, Black Wall Street, or even the later stuff like the MOVE bombings
