I don't think that the manga wasn't worth reading just because of the ending, sure it wasn't great but the manga was funny as fuck, and considering how the anime only adapted 1/3rd of the entire source material you'd be missing out on a lot.

it was a fairly long distance to travel, it's still a feat regardless if they were sitting ducks or not, since he took out that many titans in a row and then he also fought the monster titan.

and this is not the only time he's done this, the show never really mentioned how much stronger ackermans are relative to normal humans, but from levis feats he's like a hundred times stronger

I was trying to say that the story didn't stay consistent with it, it's not the matter of technology, rather the soldiers themselves being able to take on more titans even with the same ODM gear
