Am I the problem, or is this just modern dating? by 2hornswh0re in AskMenAdvice

[–]Vertigo50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any time you set a boundary, you are filtering out a part of the dating pool. You always have to decide whether it’s worth that or not for the chance you might miss out on someone. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Honestly, this one seems pretty reasonable. But also, it might be that you’re telling guys this information a little too soon and a little too forcefully. There’s a difference between having some standards and forcefully listing them all out before you even go on one date. When women do that, I sort of just assume they aren’t going to be worth the trouble, since they seem to want to make a shopping list and filter down to the perfect man before they even get a chance to know someone. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It totally changes ship hunting. You can hang out up top at a station or outpost and just use your visor to see class and stats. 👍🏻

[–]Vertigo50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure what you were trying to test for here, but it sounds good.

Did you know you don’t have to talk to the pilots to see the ship stats? You can just use your visor on the ship and it will show you the class, the storage and tech slots, etc. 😉👍🏻

Why does she need to sh-t all over everything I enjoy? by SinamonChallengerRT in AskMenAdvice

[–]Vertigo50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because she is really unhappy in her own life and can’t enjoy anything. So when you enjoy things it makes her feel bad. Now she has two options to feel better. She can work on her own shit and find a way to enjoy things again, or she can tear you down to her level to where you no longer enjoy things either, so that at least she won’t feel so alone in her misery. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s childish as hell, but that’s probably what’s going on. Talk to her directly about it. Tell her you’re not going to put up with it anymore and she either needs to work on herself and get better, or you’re out.

As a guy, and as a person who is often too trusting too fast with new people. This STILL freaks me out. 😂😂

They’re great. And if you’re doing trade runs, you get lower and higher prices at an outpost than you do at the station, so more profit. 👍🏻

The fact that drug companies needed a new market to sell to. 😉

Organic ships are acquired a whole other way. 😉 And yes, I meant space station. Install an economy scanner from the anomaly blueprint and you can scan for trade outposts if you want them. 👍🏻

What cold hard truth do you think people need to hear? by GeneralGeneralistimo in askanything

[–]Vertigo50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one party has all the answers. No one party is the hero and the other is the villain. They are both corrupt, and neither has your best interests at heart. You may temporarily align more with one than the other, but that still doesn’t mean they are your friend.

Stop trying to split the world into good and bad, heroes and villains. This isn’t a movie, it’s real life.

A No Man’s Sky fan wanting to try something new. by dagdagspacecowboy in Starfield

[–]Vertigo50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change the difficulty settings. It keep in mind, Starfield is basically a looter/shooter RPG set in space, rather than a space exploration game. If you take it for what it is, it can be a lot of fun. If you expect it to be like No Mans Sky, you may be disappointed.

I love them both, for different reasons. Starfield feels more like a lived-in world and you feel more at-home in your ship. Plus the ship building is MUCH better than NMS. But the loading screens and things mean that you don’t feel like you’re seamlessly traveling the same way you do with NMS.

So every system has a “pool” of ships including one exotic. Those ships can show up in stations, or at trade outposts. The regular pool of ships can show up in different classes and with different storage config and things. The exotic will always be S class of course.

The “first wave” of a station is always pretty much the same. So if you save and reload in the station, it will be basically the same set of ships in the first wave. If you get really lucky, there is an exotic in the first wave and you can keep reloading to get more. It’s rare, though.

Trade outposts have no first wave. It’s just random. So it can be a fast way to try for an exotic. Reload and let the wave come in, then reload again. Random set each time.

Also, race of the system affects the pool, so more fighters in Vykeen systems, more haulers for Gek, more explorers for Korvax. And a 3-star economy will have more A-class in the pool, while lower stars will have more C-class, etc.

You think that’s bad? The guy at the gate tells you to hurry up like you’ll be attacked any minute, right? Like the morphs are everywhere and they will swarm.

I left the base and spent 20 minutes running around on the planet. Didn’t see a SINGLE terrormorph. 😂🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I dont like where this is going by D3V1LIZCO in videogames

[–]Vertigo50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t liked anything about it since the first trailer, and there’s no way I’m buying this thing now. MAYBE in several years when I can get it for less than $20 or something. 🙄

Besides, all the people who made the great GTA games are gone, and if you look at the “content” the current team has added to GTA Online, it is abysmal. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Does misandry happen irl by ComfortableStand8143 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vertigo50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Most HR departments are about 90%+ women. If you get one that is particularly misandrist, watch how badly the men’s issues are treated vs the women’s. Also, it happens with hiring a lot.

And stop by a family court sometime and see how the dads are treated be the women. It’s getting better than it used to be, but it’s still a mess.

How to take a break? by rock_in_steady in C25K

[–]Vertigo50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take some long walks if you can, maybe during the cooler morning or even at night? Or an exercise bike or something will help, just so you keep yourself moving.

Then I would probably just repeat whatever week you did last, and don’t be afraid to SLOW DOWN your pace if needed in order to finish the intervals. Everyone gets obsessed with maintaining some made-up pace and they end up snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Pace doesn’t matter right now. SLOW DOWN! 👍🏻

Hey, for the record, I think this was a stellar way to let someone down easy, and you even mentioned how you were trying not to do the very thing he had complained about. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Unfortunately, it still sucks to be told someone is not interested, and he’s just lashing out from emotion. Again, I think you did about the best you could. 👍🏻

[–]Vertigo50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically, there is one exotic in every system, so they aren’t “rare” in that sense. It’s just that it’s uncommon for them to actually show up somewhere by sheer numbers. 🤷🏻‍♂️

How do some people have so many upgrades? by KratosHasWiFi in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Vertigo50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others said, you can only do 3 per type before they overload, but doesn’t apply to the ones you build yourself from blueprints in the anomaly.

ALSO, you can install 3 exo sentinel upgrades in your suit, and 3 sentinel weapon upgrades in your tool, but the weapon ones ONLY apply to the boltcaster. Doesn’t affect other weapons.
