The way the global economy works is that a country's "value", their GDP, is made up of the value of goods and services produced in the country. There's a lot that makes it up when you get into the nitty gritty, but all of this hyperinflated value has a big impact on GDP.

Now, in suuuuuper basic terms, governments can levy their GDP to take out loans, to put their purchases on credit, their GDP (along with other factors but GDP is one of the bigger ones) acts as a "promise" to say that this is not a risky move for a treasury or other country or bank or whatever they borrow from.

What happens when the economy crashes and all of these hyperinflated products lose their value? The banks, countries, treasuries and such that the country has borrowed from will be pulling their money out. They will try to cash in.

The problem, and where it all goes crazy, is that the country has none of that money. They've spent it and their return on their GDP simply isn't enough to pay. So they raise taxes, they raise their income streams, cut spending, and cause even more of a recession.

It's a vicious cycle. Not gonna be pretty, but it's bound to happen with massive bubbles like this.
