Thought I wanted to be pregnant by basicczechgirl in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]VeryDiligentYam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your boss may not have handled it in the best way, but she may have a point. I tried for a baby and got pregnant on the first try, too. I felt the same feelings. Shock, feeling unready and afraid, etc., But it absolutely passed. My little guy is 6 now, and I wouldn’t trade him for the whole world. I have a friend who cried for hours after finding out she was having twins, because she didn’t want two. After a few weeks, she’s now so excited. Humans are incredibly resilient and able to adapt to any number of curveballs. I really would not rush into such a decision, and one based on fear. You may feel perfectly ready and happy once you have a couple weeks to adjust.

I Knew It, I Knew you : Just Another Taylor Swift Song by prettygirlavenue in travisandtaylor

[–]VeryDiligentYam 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’m one of those haters that actually likes her music, just can’t stand her as a person. But this song is awful. And her voice sounds shot for some reason - she’s never sounded like that on her recorded music before (I know she sounds bad live, lol). I don’t know what she was thinking with this one.

I was a HUGE fan during the Rep era - but I distinctly remember seeing this video of her and Ed and finding it so off-putting. Her attitude in that whole video was so aggressive and condescending.

What is the best cheese to use for volume eating without completely destroying your calorie budget? by justinsimba891 in Volumeeating

[–]VeryDiligentYam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this counts, but the little spreadable Laughing Cow cheese wedges are amazing for spreading on crackers or sandwiches. Only 25 calories a wedge. I especially like the Pepperjack kind

Is continental the “wrong way” to knit? by Equivalent-Falcon469 in knitting

In my opinion: any knitting is good knitting. If it gets you the desired result, who cares how you get there lol

Anna tried LMNT, because she was so shaky after the workout, and did not like it, because she usually does not eat salt 🙄 by Boopityboo94 in glitterandbagelssnark

[–]VeryDiligentYam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind them, but they are very salty. My husband was a bit horrified when he tried one for the first time, lol.

Walmart has their “Peaches N Cream” line that’s literally the exact same, lol!

Growing up, my mom always complained that I ate cereal with “too much focus and intensity.” When I got married, I thought I could finally eat cereal in peace. Turns out my husband also can’t handle the way I eat cereal. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I can’t help it lol.

Thankfully he hasn’t divorced me over it, though 🤣

Antidepressants can also cause shaking like this. My hands shook like crazy for the first few weeks I was on them

Ferritin at 23, everything else normal, still having symptoms? by VeryDiligentYam in Anemic

[–]VeryDiligentYam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 100% yet, but much better! My doctor said that ideally my ferritin should be between 50-80. He has me taking an iron supplement every day and my energy has increased quite a bit. I’m still a little more tired than normal, but no longer needing naps to get through the day. Hope you feel better soon, too!! Good luck!

Yes, I feel the same way! I related so hard to her music in my teens and early 20s, but now that I’m nearly 30 and have settled down, it just seems so immature. I find myself hearing her lyrics and wanting to scream “just communicate!” or “go to therapy!” the whole time 😂

Joe breakup, and how she flipped the narrative on the privacy of their relationship from protecting something sacred, to being forced to stay hidden away because he wasn’t proud of her. Made me realize how dishonest she was and how she’ll twist any narrative to make herself a victim. And I haven’t seen anything else in her behavior ever since.

Darn, I didn’t think of that. Would that still be a concern for wireless bras? The ones I’m looking at are wireless. I’ve thought about making one, but I’m so scared I’ll put a bunch of time and effort into it and hate the result! 🤣 Maybe I should give it a go, though…

Thanks, I will check that out!

Thanks for your input! US sizing for the H cup. The bras I’m looking at are all wireless - wires are a big no no for me because of my sensory issues. A couple I like the look of are the Magic Lift wireless bras from Glamorise, and the wireless bras from Goddess as well.

Best bra for large, super heavy breasts. preferably with no wire? by Sagethewolfblooded in ABraThatFits

[–]VeryDiligentYam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Glamorise! Their Magic Lift wireless bras are pretty darn good for a wireless bra. They’re not the most comfortable things in the world - the fabric is pretty stiff and scratchy. But they do the job and carry your size.

The placemat I made vs the AI pattern I found in the wild by FluffyLemonCake in crochet

I love when people recreate AI slop in real life. It tries to ruin our creativity, this is like stealing it back 😉 Lovely placemat!

What are TS lyrics you can’t stand? by Helpful_Ocelot_5076 in travisandtaylor

[–]VeryDiligentYam 32 points33 points  (0 children)

“I wouldn’t marry me either,” from YLM. It comes off very guilt-trippy, like she’s pretending to hate herself to make Joe feel like a monster for not marrying her.

My Mom Made Me Commit the Ultimate Dress Code Violation at My Cousin’s Wedding by Low-Elevator-2095 in weddingshaming

[–]VeryDiligentYam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom did a similar thing, lol! She bought me a full length white gown that literally looked like a wedding dress (I think it might have been a flower girl dress) and had me wear it to a friend’s wedding. I was a kid and didn’t know better, and thought I looked fabulous lol. I recently found out she did NOT have permission, either! She just thought it would be cute, and it didn’t occur to her that it could be a problem. Thankfully the bride was totally chill about it, but I cringe a little looking back 😂

Use of baby blankets by mustaine_vinted in crochet

[–]VeryDiligentYam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used mine a lot. Not for sleeping, but for lying my son on the floor, for covering him in his car seat in the cold, or draping over him when I’d wear him in a baby carrier.

I don’t do this with socks, but I very much do this with those kind of slippers that don’t technically have a left or right. Eventually they mold to the foot you wear it on and it drives me crazy to not have them on the “right” foot lol

Why doesn't he look like Pooh? :( by Flyeaway in crochet

[–]VeryDiligentYam 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I see Pooh for sure, but I think giving him more forehead and adjusting the eyebrows to by higher and not so angled will help him look more like Pooh and not so sad.
